Larry....I did call the casino and they do have VP although no one could tell me anything re; paytables. I'm not expecting much but will report back here after our trip.
Thanks for the welcome...always nice to find other VP lovers
Paytables, as we understand their effect on VP return, may be a moot point at Dover Downs. If my interpertation of their statement at the bottom of their web page is correct in that they are VLTS and controlled by the Delaware Lottery commission.

Paytables in Dover, DE are 6/5 for ddb. We're heading there this Sun. for a little overnighter. On Mon., we're hitting the newest MD casino - Ocean Downs, near Ocean City. Wilmington, DE casino has better pay tables and it's about an hr. from Dover. Good luck and have a good time.

Hmmmm.....so what does that mean if the games are controlled by the DE Lottery Commision, that they don't operate like a normal VP machine re; the chances of a 52 card deck?

So... I found this on the VPFree site:
Considerations: Some states have different regulations for racinos and non-casinos.
Don't assume that the RNG requirements are the same for every jurisdiction. You need to know whether or not each virtual card has an equal chance of being selected, like in Nevada or Atlantic City, before you use the pay table to determine the game's ER (expected return).
One sure way to know there's no RNG is if a final hand is magically changed by a "genie" or a "match card", or there's an automatic hold feature that can't be disengaged.
Can anybody tell me of the VP machines at Dover have the auto hold feature or a match card? Sounds like to me, if they do there is no RNG, if they dont, there is an RNG, making play like a LV or AC game....no?

Link to Delaware Lottery Regulations. You will find under definitions of a video lottery machine that they say the outcome must be randomly and immediately determined by the machine. Guess that means they don't use a central determinent. However later on they talk about a central server. (?)

No, the machines at Dover do not have automatice hold. The machines at the new MD casino in Perryville do (Hollywood), tho, and that's the pits.

Munrosm.... is the casino in Wimington as nice as their website makes it out to be? We may go there instead and just stop for the day at Dover. We found out their is a fight card on Friday night and we were in Vegas once when there was a big fight at Caesars and my wife was pretty turned off by the crowd they seem to attract.
I see there is no hotel on-site but it looks like there is one very close by.
Thanks, Dino

Finally tried the VP at Ocean Downs.....no hurry to go back. There are about 12 machines and they are all at the bar. You can place DDB, DW, Jacks or better, JP or Dueces and Jokers.
