I have noticed that when I am at the casinos playing Video Poker and hit a real hot streak, I mean I hit 4 of a kinds or higher within 15 minutes no matter which machine I move to or if I hop from casino to casino. When it is hot even most  trash deals turn out winners on the draw.
Also true for cold streaks. No matter what machine or casino , I mean  there are cold streaks where I question my ability to play at times, but upon examinination, I see I am playing as always just on a cold streak or the poker gods are peeved at me about something.

When Caesars AC took out the VP machine where I hit my first 4 aces w/kicker it was a sad day for sure. I religiously go back to machines where I have hit in the past, and the machine at Caesars where I hit my first and only royal(quarters)is always my first stop when I walk in the door, or if I'm losing.  Does it work?  Sometimes, but if it always worked I wouldn't have to(work, that is).  That's why they call it gambling.

Humm! come to think of it I do seem to win if I have't changed socks in a couple of days. Could this possibly be a clue to the streaks?
Could the answer be as simple as this? Would Dr. Phil  call this ridiculious?

I keep a diary on how many hands I play,what dem.,date, what kind of multiline 3,5,10,50 and any hand higher than 5-ks. call me crazy but it helps me with my saninty.  If  any of you are wondering how I keep track of how many hands I play I use a clicker or a hand tally that I bought at officemax online. try it and use it to gage your play .

Ever hear the term commando! That shoots down the underwear theory.
No there must be another connection with the streaks that I am simply overlooking. I will try to connect with the poker gods to discern knowledge.

I am a big believer in the RNG but I have to admit I have also experienced what you describe. Last November in LV I had a day like that; no matter what I touched I won. Multiple quads on DDB ten play, 4J's dealt on DDB ten play, I even hit a $400 slot jackpot and I hardly ever play slots except to give my VP head a rest. By the next morning the magic was gone and I couldn't draw a pair. I have had this happen more than once and with no casinos closer than seven hours by car I only get to play 4 or 5 times a year. maybe we just remember the good times and try hard to forget the losing runs. Kind of twilight zone in my mind, "beam me up Scotty"!!

Went to Vegas last summer and i hit 3 Royals and Aces twice! Can't comment on the socks or underwear theory cause I changed clothes while i was there....
Sometimes everything does seem to go right - No matter what machine you play.
I usually stay only 2 nites. I dont think I can afford much longer because my play is steady - I break for meals and maybe a few hours of sleep.
Just came back from Vegas - Hit absolutely nothing for the first 8 hours and then - BAM!--- I hit aces 2 times (with kicker) on the same machine within about a half hour. The next day nothing.... Lost a ton.  I think it is the vp poker gods - sometimes they smile and sometimes they dont.
