Well, I'm back and never made it to Red Rock.  Couldn't find a cheap way out there and a cab ride was $40-50 one way.

Day one turned out pretty good.  Hit quad 3/w4 on $1 TDB triple play for $2400 as one of the other lines just hit the quad 3's.

Later that night had one machine up to over $1,800 after hitting on DB 4/w2 then 2's then J's and 8's all within about 10 minutes of play.

Second day didn't play a bunch just kind of hopped around play new games.  Games I had never seen like.

Video Stud Poker / Double Down (lost my a$$ on this one cause I was blinded by the high payout, $8k for special aces, $20K for Royal.

Day three started out good with Special Aces for $2k, played that off and down to my last $100 hit special Aces again for $2k.

Day four lost playing new games  hoping around, played Video Black Jack Poker at Luxor.  Four Jacks payed $1k and any quad with a black Jack played $800.  Also lost playing some Wild 7's and Super Times Mult-Strike.  Did win a little bit later at Cesars playing Double Play.  You could choose to play 2,3,5 hands.  Hit quad 4's for $400.

Hit Old Vegas and played another new game never seen before or even the machine maker at the Las Vegas Club.  You could pick one queen to be wild and if that queen was the last card dealt you could pick one of 10 jewells that multiplied the win by 1x to 10x.  It also had two other crazy games.

Then late that night at Excaliber blew throught about $1200 on one machine playing TDB that also had a $5,200 progressive tied to it.  Never got one Quad and could hardly get a FH.

Last day hit a few quads but none of the little ones playing DDB on the only progressive I saw that was more than $4100.

Then won a little bit playing another new game at the Paris called Random Bonus.  18 credits and the Flush and up would randomly play more up to 2000 credits more.  Pretty good game, playing .50 Triple Play hit Aces once for $530, then two Straight Flushes for $331 a piece.

Never hit a Royal out of about 25,000 hands played.  It seems every royal had just been hit.  I actually walked up on 2 of them that were being paid out the moment I walked up.  Went through all the casinos.

Oddly enough I had my best streak on the worst pay tables.  Thats right I was playing 6/5 DDB at the airport.  Lol.  But I did hit 4444.2 for $800 cashed out put in another $100 and on the last hand got dealt Quad Aces for another $800.

So all in all gaming wise I lost but made up for it with about $1,200 in comps from the Paris/Harrahs.

Nice trip report, spx.On our last trip to Vegas, we did catch that Red Rock shuttle round trip on the side of Fashion Show Mall that is closest to down town. There is a circular drive where the shuttle stops at the entrance of that drive. (Sands Ave or Desert Inn perhaps, across from Wynn). We had also heard that a cab fare to Red Rock would be $50. one way. Red Rock has small shuttles and bus size shuttles to accommodate more people. Their priority is guests that are staying at Red Rock. Red Rock is 15 to 17 miles from the strip.http://www.redrocklasvegas.com/hotel/shuttle_info.php

Yea that is what they told us.  We couldn't use the shuttle to Fashion Mall unless we were guest.

spx,
Sounds like you had a great time. We, too, enjoy playing the new games in Vegas. We try them out first here @ VP then look them up.

Maybe next time you can get to RR. You might try calling and asking for a RR host and tell them you want to come out and play there. They can probably give you a "priority pass" for the shuttle.

The heck with the shuttle, SPX. Tell the host to send the limo - you're a $1 player.

billyjoe,
You're probably right. RR would probably send a limo if you talk to a host and discuss your play level and also offer a "promotional comp" room.

Palms has the best pay tables by far, with several banks of machines paying over 100% for perfect play.  Their triple banks have better odds than any single line machines on the strip.
