You're right about that.  The state of MN receives no tax revenue from any casinos which are owned and run by the indians and are on indian land.  As a result the indians are making a ton of money.  One can tell from seeing all the nice houses close to Mystic Lake Casino and others.  Governer Pawlenty in knowing this wanted a piece of the pie and at one time pushed hard to build a casino near Mall Of America or Someplace in downtown Minneapolis.  His proposal was shot down by the MN congress.

Yep, right again.  Live in Minneapolis.  Treasure Island is my casino of choice.  My next trip out there I'll look for those machines you mentioned.

I get there when I can. It is about a 2 hr drive. The Lodge has a good selection of VP and during the week is not crowded.

Stay away from the small "casinos" on the "strip" (mainstreet).
The machines are mostly old ones and very few video poker.
But if you go all the way to the end of the "strip", you will find the 4 aces casino/hotel-
Lots of machines there - Enjoy!
