Re: best win
Hit a $2 Royal last night for best win in 9 months. The Royal came only a few minutes after I sat down. Actually, on my first hand after sitting down I hit quad 8s for $500. Gave me a good feeling about ye olde machine so I stuck with it. Within 3 minutes, I pulled 3 to the Royal, held 'em, and up popped the other two. Meanwhile the poor fellow seated right next to me said he had been sitting there for almost two hours hitting nothing on 25 cent DDB, then here I came, sat down, and within 5 minutes I was looking at $8500. I think he was depressed. Not me -- I am headed back out in a few minutes to do it again!

on a .5 10 play triple double at the Tuscany In Las Vegas, my wife was dealt 4 aces on a 10 handed machine, and then drew 2 kickers for a payout of 14,400 credits ($720)

I had breakfast at Tuscany my last trip out there(Nov. '06)and the food was nothing to write home about, but I thought the casino was pretty cool. It is just another reason to go off the Strip-maybe one of these years I will actually do just that. P.S. but if loving the Flamingo is wrong I don't wanna be right.

One of the best attributes of the Tuscany is their comps. They accrue at the highest rate of any casino I've played at in Las Vegas. Makes it pretty easy to get room and meals comped.

DID I SEE THAT THEY ARE GOING TO COMBINE MULTI-STRIKE POKER WITH SUPER PAY POKER. THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING. IF I AM CORRECT THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF EIGHTEEN TIMES ON THE TOP ROW.

I think the STP multiplier is MULTIPLIED BY, not added to, the MULTI-STRIKE level multiplier. However, I think the max STP multiplier is 5 in this game, not 10. Still, with a royal at the 8X level, that would be a 4000 x 8 x 5 = 160,000 coin jackpot!
I haven't heard if STP will be available on Five-Play Multi-Strike or not. That would make a possible 800,000 coin jackpot, with of course, 5 times the number of coins in the machine.
And, I've heard that a 5th 16X level is going to happen on Multi-Strike someday, but I don't know if STP will be married to it or not.

Hit a royal on a $5.00 pick em poker machine at Seneca Niagara casino in Niagara Falls, NY in December. $30,000 Sweeeeet!!! Also hit 2 Quads for $6000 the same night. These machines used to be great for building up comps; $700-$800 for 6 hours play. Last month they changed the comps on these machines only. Now get only about $200 for same time frame.

I have a couple of favorites -
One night about three years ago I was playing a single line multi-denom machine at the Riviera, and on the first hand after switching from $.25 to $1 was dealt a royal (all cards automatically held). I played $200 of it back in on $1 play, then switched back to $.25. About an hour later I went back to $1 play, and on a hand where I was dealt only one high card, drew a royal. So, for two royals I only had to hold one card (efficient!).
On another occasion, I was playing single line Bonus Deuces and was dealt four deuces, and drew the ace. Not five minutes later, I was dealt four deuces AGAIN, and drew an ace AGAIN!
Most of my "best" stories involve beating the odds in the other direction. Just two months ago I was playing DDB and was dealt a full house with three aces and two eights. I dropped the eights and drew - the other two eights!

It almosts sounds llike you were playing a Cat2 machine found in a lot of racinos where you can't throw away a dealt winning poker hand. It will return the same hand or a BETTER hand. I routinely throw away a dealt four of a kind in DW. It sometimes returns 5 of a kind, but never less than the original four of a kind.

My best win was Christmas day 2006 at the Pechanga Resort in Temecula, CA. We had driven with my mom and wife up to Big Bear from LA to drop off Christmas presents for my cousin, a 2 hour drive and we only stayed for 5 minutes. Decided on a whim to stop by the casino on the way home for a couple of hours. I hit my first royal flush on a 3 hand dollar machine(playing super aces) within the first 1/2 hour, drew the ace of hearts for $4,000, my wife was sitting next to me. We agreed to meet in 2 hours (after I gave my wife her cut, California is a community property state.) I went back to the 3 play dollar machines with 20 minutes to go , played the machine 2 over from where I had won and within 10 minutes hit 4 aces on the deal for $6000. ($2000, $2000, $2000) Cashed out for $11,000 in just over 2 hours. I didn't have to do the walk of shame to the ATM machine once! I know they'll get it back but I should be playing on their money for a few years at least.
