Best 25cent Machines At Harrahs Properties Vegas

Post by Mr. H. »

I need about 1100 more tier score to make the  Platinum card at Harrahs.  Which Harrah's properties in Vegas have the best paying $.25 video poker machines?

From what I've seen recently you can find some decent pay tables at Planet Holleywood. 3/5/10 play nickles/dimes/quarters for 15/9 deuces, a very good play for the strip. Also 9/5 DDB Supertimes Pay quarters, an excellent play for the strip. You will accumulate rewards credits very quickly on these games.

Mule:  Sorry to sound ignorant but what do you mean with the numbers after the games mentioned.  like 9/5.....I'm sure this is the odds factor but don't know what to look for in the payouts section to see if the odds are good for that game.  I play VP all the time at Tropicana A/C and do okay.  Last year I hit about 20 $1K jackpots but still came out losing at the end of the year.  I really think I would need a progressive hit to put me over to the win column.  Going to Vegas Planet Hollywood in 2 weeks and want to know what games would give me better odds.  How can I tell......Thanx Chris

Chrissy, 9/5 refers to the pay table. You should really learn a little about pay tables... every casino has plenty of machines, but they don't all have the same payouts for the same win types, in the same casino. You might as well be playing the best pay table available when you play at a place.

9/5 usually refers to the payouts of the full house and flush (on a one coin bet, so 45 and 25, for 5 coins).

Full house pays 9, flush pays 5 in that example.

In a casino you might find 9/6 jacks or better AND 8/5 jacks or better. So why would you want to get 8 for every full house and 5 for every flush when you can get 9 and 6 with the exact same cards? Only if you don't know to look at those payouts, that's why. And there are plenty of people who do not know.

Pay tables get more complicated for some games lke Deuces but most games are just two numbers you need to look at. You'll get a lot more play for your money by paying attention to these pay tables because the return on the machines is higher over time.

Some casinos offer better pay tables than others, but most have a variety and you might as well play the best wherever you are. Pay tables are often different at different amounts too... sometimes only dollar machines will have the better pays, or quarters or nickels, but I usually find a variety on quarters which is what I play the most.

It sounds complicated but it's very simple once you know what to look for.

By just looking, you won't find yourself playing on a machine getting 40 for every full house when the machine right next to you is paying 45.

I find good old Harrah's about as generous as any. They have 9/6 TDB, which will, of course, get you a bigger jackpot if you win. Caesars is not too bad, either.

Edwardo:  thanks so much for your explanation to the 9/5 rule.  I am aware that they pay different values for FH and flush on machines I play.
Now I will be more aware to pick a machine that pays higher for FH and Flush.  Usually the machines I play pay 9/5 in A/C for DDBP and I think the same for JP.  I will concentrate on this more.  Thanks again,  Chrissy

Chissy also if you play Jokers Poker try to play the machines that pay on a Pair of Kings or better rather than the 2 pair kind.

Although I enjoy Harrah's properties, their video poker machine tables leave much to be desired. Your best bet is in the poker palace area where the $.25 machines pay 7/5. Make sure you look closely.
