Looks like theres something going on here I don't quite understand but I would be willing to be a student of each of you in order to prove  which way is the best.

What's going on is that I was what shadowman claims to be--an optimal play expert--for over 6 years and lost every year. I am very experienced with that strategy, I have a strong math background as an EE with an MBA, and I have yet to meet anyone who can see and read a vp screen as accurately and as fast as I can. He, OTOH, has NEVER tried to play my strategy [snipped] A classic example of experience vs. non-experience....which produces more critics than any other scenario. [snipped]

If you study his posts you'll see nothing more than a total re-hash of everything Elliott Fromme, Bob Dancer and Dan Paymar have written many times before, [snipped]

Anything you want to know of my strategy you just simply have to ask, but I suggest you send me an e-mail @  rob_Fa La La La La.... La la la la@qwest.net  or  rsinger1111@cox.net [snipped] I'll be home again on Wed.  Good luck until then.

Administrator Note:
It's time I chimed in on this discussion as it has gotten out of hand.

Shadowman and babybubba, please read this carefully as it is directly related to you two. Others take note as well.

This forum is intended to discuss video poker and video poker strategy. It is not a place for personal rivalries or attacks. If either of you have personal feelings towards one another outside of this forum, that is where they must stay.

Here you are both welcome to share your views of different strategies and argue for or against any given strategy. You will not be allowed to make personal statements about one another's habits, lifestyle, or any other goings-on between you two on other forums, message boards, in a casino, or anywhere else.  Keep your discussion to strategy, not to one another. I realize that past events in other places may be relevant to your point, but I’m afraid you will have to start over if you wish to prove those points here, focusing on the pros and cons of a given strategy rather than one anything between the two of you.

I am going through past messages now and removing any comments that do not abide by these terms.

I understand that this was incited by both a past history and a thread on this message board critiquing Fa La La La La.... La la la la's strategy. A critique of the strategy is certainly allowed, and Mr. Fa La La La La.... La la la la is also allowed to defend his strategy. Clearly people have called into question the truth of some of his statements, and he has every right to defend himself.

Given the fact that Mr. Fa La La La La.... La la la la and his strategy are inextricably linked, I realize there may be a fine line between being critical of Mr Fa La La La La.... La la la la and the strategy that he promotes. Such is not the case with other members here.  On that matter, I will say that members will be allowed to point out deficiencies that they believe exist in a given strategy, but they may NOT accuse someone of being a "fraud" or a liar without providing proof. You may say that a strategy has flaws and provide a reason why.  Asking for proof that a strategy works is certainly acceptable, but whether or not it is provided is up to the user and how strong an argument for that strategy they would like to make.

Shadowman is a long time member of this forum and his presence has been greatly appreciated by many here.  He has discussed the mathematics of Video Poker and always provides detailed explanations and helpful tips for specific questions. While babybubba is a newer member, he also has a strategy and a following.  Both of these methods are fantastic material for discussion and analysis. I realize that these things can get a little heated because each of you is passionate not only about the strategy you play but potential failings in the strategy of the other member.

Again I will reiterate that you are welcome and encouraged to discuss these strategies, but you will not be permitted to make this personal.  Calling another member of this forum a “whiner” a “failure” a “liar” a ”fraud” will not be permitted under any circumstances.

Please resume any discussion with this in mind.  You are welcome to interact, but please be mindful of all that has been written here and focus on strategy alone and not any particular member, even if that is the person you are responding to.

This forum has had a great variety of discussions over time and this is the first time things have gotten personal and nasty. Let’s keep it fun as we have no intention of babysitting just to ensure people are treated fairly. Future problems will be dealt with swiftly, with a warning suspension and then permanent removal from this forum.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I’m sorry if it comes across negatively. We are trying to look after the well-being of all of our members equally to make sure this forum stays fun and exciting and a place where people can post without fear of being ridiculed.  We are all learning; let’s do so in a friendly environment.

BigBoy was wise in starting this thread.  Because the discussions have been spawned in numerous threads and it's impossible to avoid, we're taking it a bit further and giving you two an entire sub-forum to discuss your major disagreements on so that the rest of the forum can focus on other issues.

The gloves are off.

This will allow you to focus on specific points that need to be discussed instead of the issues beign spread around everywhere else.

Now you can start a thread on one very specific topic so that you actually get an answer to the question you are askign without the changing subjects and dodges that each of you has called the other out on.

Obviously others will be able to ask questions and chime in as they see fit.

Enjoy:
