Look, don't stress about the fact that you don't see it from my POV. As I said in my previous post we think too differently. It might amuse you to know that when I had a wife, I came home and bragged to her on more than one occasion about a huge edge I had found. My results were never discussed. In fact during our two year relationship she never once inquired as to how I had done on any given day. I did have her help me file taxes one year and she asked me if my job was stressful? I think I said, "not usually".During the year she did ask me a few times if I was doing well and I said yes. It just wasn't anything we talked about. She understood that the day to day was meaningless. It is as hard for me to understand you, as it is for you to understand me.Oh one thing you said I said, "winning doesn't matter as long as you play with an edge?"That's not exactly right. I meant, "short term results don't matter as long as you play with an edge". Let me ask you one question: If you lost $350 a day every day, but hit $4,000+ Jackpots at least 3 times a month, are you saying your wife would be upset? You'd be netting about $2,000 a month in profit. I don't see how that's anything to get upset about.~FK
I would naturally be happy winning money in any way possible each month. I would also be unhappy about every losing visit. My wife isn't happy unless I hand over winnings to her. But I've been married 20 years and I'm getting better at hiding it from her whether I win or lose. You only two? Did that have anything to do with your gambling?

I would naturally be happy winning money in any way possible each month. I would also be unhappy about every losing visit. My wife isn't happy unless I hand over winnings to her. But I've been married 20 years and I'm getting better at hiding it from her whether I win or lose. You only two? Did that have anything to do with your gambling? That's a good question and one I expected you to ask. No, gambling never entered into our relationship. She was Nipponese and the relationship terminated due to friction between myself and her brother. Family conflict is the most common reason for divorce in Nihon. His primary beef with me was that I was gaijin. He never approved of the marriage and at one time ordered her to abort our child. I of course never forgave him.You have to do something about your situation with your wife. It doesn't work from a mathematical stand point. You cannot hand over a percentage of daily wins, unless she is also reimbursing you a percedntage of daily losses. In fact daily square up of any kind is pointless and silly. Imagine you had a job at a convenience store: it is perfectly reasonable to give your wife a percentage of your paycheck, it is not acceptable to let her come down and take money out of the till.If you must include her in your gambling, you could give her a percentage of the action (wins and losses) and square up every month or quarterly.  It's like the difference between net and gross. You can't share gross until you calculate the net. Not to mention, why should she expect a percentage of the profit without any risk. That's unreasonable on her part.Giving her a piece of the wins and none of the losses is financial suicide. Even on a strongly positive game it will destroy any edge you might have had. Of course she's a pretty strong favorite to come out ahead. You made a comment about having to hide your gambling. That doesn't sound good at all. I have never had to lie about or hide anything related to gambling other than to keep secret scouting information between me and my partners. The reason I didn't talk about it with my wife is she never asked. There should be no need to hide anything from your wife, she should simply understand that this is a supplementary source of income for your family.I believe the best practice would be to calculate your theoretical monthly earn and give her a SET percentage of that. If you are making $2,000 a month theoretical income give her about $500 at the end of every month, win lose or draw.~FKP.S. All this assumes that you are up over all in casinos for your life and you are playing with an edge now???

Ha-Ho! A PORTION to my wife? Try ALL of it! Even if I lose I have to give her the winnings I LIE about. But we're not talking about big money or anything we don't have anyways. I play games in the casinos and a game when I get home. All for fun though. Otherwise, I agree with what you wrote about it. I'm sorry about your failed relationship. Gaijin? Nipponese? Does that mean gringo and Japanese?

I'm sorry about your failed relationship. Gaijin? Nipponese? Does that mean gringo and Japanese? Yes, she was from Tokyo. It was very sad and I haven't seen my daughter in 11 years.I prefer to use the correct terms rather than the Americanized versions bastardized from the Portuguese to English translation.nihongo wakarimasen, but I try.~FK
