I'm about to turn 40. (in a couple weeks,) and I wanted to share what I did 10 years ago- almost to the day.
We went to Vegas for my 30th, somehow managed to get about 20 family members to go on the trip! At that time, the airlines were very lax about take-on containers, and I remember the decent into Vegas. My bottle of wine rolled towards the front of the plane as my Father-in-law was laughing! We got to the MGM Grand late (around 10pm) and my wife and several family members went to bed. I was highly medicated from my fear of flying but somehow proceeded to the bank of 25cent/$1 vp machines that I was familiar with at the MGM. I was lithargic, to say the least. I probably should not have been left alone!
Well, I started playing, and within a short amount of time, my machine locked-up. I was pissed. I thought something was broken, when I looked down and saw I'd hit a 4k royal! What a way to celebrate your 30th!!
I took the $ back to the room for some pictures (my wife's father is a photo-journalist,) and had an amazing week.
I'm turning 40, and my goal is to go back in May and do it again!
Birthday Winnings...

Best of luck. I see no reason why history shouldn't repeat itself.
My wife and I have birthday luck all screwed up. I tend to do well on her birthday and she does well on mine.

I say go for it. Allocate a few hundred to a high end VP machine and just do it. I retired from a 25 year career as a nurse and my attitude about life is do it now. Our lives can change on a dime. My birthday is in August and my husband taught in college so many many of our vacations were during my birthday and I have won lots of money on the actual day. In fact, I don't ever remember losing on that day. I also play my birthday on roulette on that day. St. Marteen, two bracelets bought, emerald and ruby as a momento. Each bought on two different days.

You guys are nice- thank you for your kind words. You're right, life goes by just like (snap) THAT!
I have a 4 and 8 year old, and I can't believe how fast they're growing.
Take care, win a 1,000,000, Royal, and retire! (is there a 1 MILL royal? If not, there SHOULD be!)

I always do good playing VP on my birthday. In fact, I have hit a royal 4 out of my last 5 birthdays. My husband had one of his luckiest days ever on his birthday. We have always played at Harrah's Prairie Band on our birthdays. Now that Harrah's is pulling out of that property we will have to try our luck in North Kansas City. Good luck!!

Good luck!!We might have run into each other DL Davis! My wife and I play a lot up thataway. Mostly at Golden Eagle though. We just got back from KC yesterday (AmeriStar and Isle of Capri). That place is a VP wasteland. I'm serious. I don't think there is a full pay game in that entire city! Personally, I'm hoping that Prairie Band gets back in line when the Tribe takes over the management. It would surprise me though if they did simply because they have to pay for that property somehow. They do have good rooms and I do enjoy their spa area. There had been rumors about Missouri lifting the $500 2-hour loss-limit but that repeal died. They still have it. I'm sort of encouraged though that when they put in the casino (Woodlands) in KC, Kansas that it will spark some player favorable changes in Missouri. We'll see!
