Suncoast Casino in Vegas

Post by kjohn »

I'm going to be staying at RR for several days in Aug..We'll have a car and I was wondering if the Suncoast Casino, which is very close to RR, is worth a visit..I heard it was smokey but people I visit with at RR seem to play there also..I like DDB and Trip Play games...Anyone been there lately...

I was at Red Rock in January and went to Suncoast after. Was playing VP at Suncoast, .50 DB.Played for about an hour and hit a 4 of a kind near the end for a small profit. Was playing along side an escalator, don't remember it being smokie. Was kind of funny that Suncoast did not come up on my GPS unit in the car, found it just driving around.Place kind of reminded me of the Gold Coast casino, check it out, you might like it.

The Suncoast has high ceilings in some places. It shouldn't be any smokier in those areas than RR. I've been there several times and did not notice any more problems than any other major casino.

Kjohn, right behind the Suncoast is the Rampart Casino (sister casino to the Cannery and Eastside Cannery)  Since you will be in the area, check it out, also.  Lots of VP.  I play ddb and find a lot of 9/6.  You have to look for it, but it's there.

Thanks for the info..I think I remember walking through it when we were in Vegas for a month..Isn't it the one connected to the Marriott? ..It was rather dead but I may give it a try...

Kjohn, you are correct.  Its connected to the JW Marriott.  The times recently that I have been there during the day, it has been quiet.  There are times, tho, that I relish the quiet time to play video poker and to get away from the chaos at work.

I was gonna mention the Rampart also. Nice place to play vp. I don't recall Suncoast being any smokier than the average casino but I'm a smoker so I would be giving a biased opinion.  It's not too far from the Decatur casinos either. Az Charlies, Fiesta Rancho
