Monthly Contest Winner

Post by John Jr. »

I have been a Gold member on VideoPoker.com for several years. I, too, at times questioned whether it was possible to actually win a prize here as I had never won anything. However, in the July monthly contest, I placed third and won a $100. gift card. The site is for real, and the prizes are genuine. I want to thank Webman for all the hard work that goes into keeping this site up and running. I also want to wish all the nice people I have met here good luck in all the contests.

I've played over 90,000 thats 90,000 hands and never come close to winning a game. The game is set up to win on the deal, that's why they want let you see their winning hand while the game is ongoing. If this was a real casino you would get only one visit from the customer. They would never come back. Stay with the free VP site at least you make money from the ads............

Not sure what you mean by "The game is set up to win on the deal, that's why they want let you see their winning hand while the game is ongoing."Care to clarify?I guess what I should ask is, how do the results differ from your expectations for the game?Great deals will almost always win in these contests, that's true... that's just the nature of the game. Also realize that while 90,000 hands is a lot for an individual, there are more than a million hands played in every single contest by all players combined. So even if you played all 90,000 of those in one contest you still wouldn't have a 1/10 chance. With so many players, you simply can't expect to win or come close to the top ten. It's amazing when it does happen, but your expectations are probably a little too high. Some (most) players have been on here for years and never won a contest. But it can happen at any time.Best of luck though... hopefully your persistence pays off.
