Re: Royal Draw 8/5 question
I ran the corrected paytable through a software analysis program and got 90.33% as the base payback. To determine how much the bonus round pays will require a little more work. Adding the minimum for the flush would up the payback to 91.51%. There are 1287 possible single suit deals. When I have time I will write a little program to analyze them all and determine the average payback. If I had to guess right now I say the value would be less than 97%.

Thank you bigboy for pointing out what item in my paytable was incorrect.
Thank you Rob for confirming bigboy's claim and of course making a huge deal out of nothing.
There, all better?
Mike: Thanks but you don't need to worry about something so benign. I understood that you acknowledged the responses that you received. Feel free to continue posting about new games and anything else that suits you, as many of us enjoy reading your posts.

Ha Ha! Keep on defending the defenseless. He needs all the help he can get!
Bottom line is this should be a red flag as to the shooting-from-the-hip shadow does when attempting to display his prowess to those who clearly spend far less time in the casinos than him. I deal in facts only and reported them about Royal Draw on this thread. Your boy comes on with speculation and his own brand of cunning when it comes to newbies, I catch him at it, and now he needs a good defense.
This is fun!

Rob,
What? I posted a paytable incorrectly, that is all. Get over yourself.

Yup, that's what you did and we all understand. Your boy, OTOH, didn't live up to expectations. Again. That would lead the astute to question whether or not he's disingenuous with his criticisms--esp. when they're not based on factual evidence over 90% of the time.

Do you have the ability to calculate the variance for the MS-STP platform? I can't find any info on it. This is the most volatile game that i've ever encountered. I am glad that i was able to try it online without risking real cash. I can't see it lasting on the casino floor for too long. Guess they better get working on a 5-play MS-STP platform.

Ignoring all the extra noise in this thread, the Wizard of Odds crunched the numbers for this game and his results can be found here.

Looks like I won't need to write a program after all. If you can find find the 10-6 variation it appears to be a decent game. The number of extra royals appears about every 40 quads. That's once every 423*40 = 17000 hands. Not too bad if you like to get extra royals. Unfortunately, with most gimmick games you probably can't find a full pay version.

bigboy-
Sorry, I don't -- I was actually replying to shadowman's post at the top of page 2, but I know my reply came right under your question, too.
