WTG, MM !!
We stay there at Harrah's Joliet when we visit family in Chicago area. They are nice folks, and ALWAYS seem to have some sort of giveaway going on. Non-smoking, too. They have several Multi-line, Multi-denom VP machines with TDB. Also, a nice single-line $1 progressive group of machines, DDB at 9/6, often over $5k.
Have fun with the rest of your visit to the WINDY city. Surfing allowed on Lake Michigan this week.

Great Marie! Now if you travel 450 miles west on rt 80 you'll come to harrah's councilbluffs. Great machines there too. I more than doubled my Joliet winnings.

Wow Wow Wow  How much fun was that.  sorry about Gun Lake, we have never had luck there.  I hope your luck can rub off on me, we are heading to Manistee tonight after our grandsons ball game..................... man it will be a long night, won't get to manistee until probably midnight, but i'm sure I will wake up once I see the lights of the casino  I will let you know how it goes, but if you don't hear from me again you will know it didn;t go as I hope!!!!!!! Good luck everyone on your ventures.........Mendon

G L at Little River, Mendon. We really like that area and casino except for lack of wins. Three visits to Gun Lake: big win, broke even and then the big, bad losses last Sat. We'll only stop there when visiting relatives in Grand Rapids. SO many casinos and so little time and $$!

Thank you, luvzlyfe, mammajamma, luv2gamble2, billyjoe, JIM and Gammy.
We deposited the lion's share of my Harrah's Joliet wins at a bank yesterday, en route to newish RIVERS, Des Plaines, near O'hare airport. Some peeps had asked me about this casino. It was our first time there, part of Midwest Gaming and NO gift or bonus for signing up for players card. Harrah's Joliet gifted me with four bonus coupons plus the four promo wine glasses, the day before. Rivers had current VP including 50 and 100 play, 3,5, 10 play, All Star, Ultimate X, STP, DSTP and multi strike. I tried several machines and my $ just sank. Hubby had no luck either and felt their food looked expensive. We did not stay long and are not interested in returning. A big time gambler posted negative comments on the net re this casino as well. We should have heeded his warning!

Marie, did you notice if Rivers had 25 cent single line vp machines?  I read that some of the vp machines were down for conversion and was hoping that they were bringing in 25 cent machines.  Thanks!

I had heard that Rivers was a bad experience as far as VP wins, and the penny slots, etc, too. People were observed running lots of bucks thru the penny video slots and never getting more than a 15 or 20 coin win. Some of these slots take up to 300 coins or more a spin. And they stated that most of the slots had way lower progressives on them than the exact same machines at other casinos in the Chicagoland area. I think Rivers is out to hit the bussiness people who fly into nearby O'Hare. Many upper class hotels are nearby.

Thanks mammajamma.  Hubby and I went to Rivers last month and wasn't that impressed.  We won back the money we brought with us plus $92 but we don't plan on making it our favorite Chicagoland casino.  We intend to stick with Harrah's Joliet.
