L'auberge Question

Post by Fiah545 »

I have never been out to LDL but I am planning on going this Summer. Looking on VPfree2, it shows that they don't offer DDB and the lowest denomination is $1. Is vpfree just not updated?

Thanks!

Summer is great for going to the man-made lazy river - grab a drink at the swim up bar and float the day away. Refill drink as desired. Also nice pools for kids and sunning. Crowded on weekends and holidays.

VP: Haven't been to LDL in a while but they had limited low denomination (95-97% - bar machines are horrible) and multi-denomination 25/50/$1 machines are crowded on weekends.   Unless they have changed all $1 and higher denomination machines were 99% return including 9/6 JOB and NSUD. I'm sure some of the regulars will update.

Do you need a host contact? We've worked with Deane Broussard and Lisa Malveaux. Our two main host contacts moved to Isle when the LDL CFO became manager at Isle.

I'd also recommend a trip around the loop to check out Isle of Capri which has great 5¢ pay returns on multi-hand (generally 98% return) and less crowded and more low denomination machines. Wish you the best!!

Thanks for the info Lucky Larry! It does sound like a great place to go in the Summer and I will try to make it during the week. I will definitely check out the Isle as well!

If any regulars can comment more on the VP, would be appreciated.

vpFREE2 doesn't list all video poker games at a casino, just the best ones. Games with paytables below 99% like 9/6 DDB aren't necessarily listed when there are better games in that denomination.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks Rebus.

The majority of video poker machines at the LDL are in a corner. All crowded together. Quite a few of multi-play are in the front area. But the jammed together machines are not that enjoyable. Prefer playing at the Isle.

GrannyJ,
I assume the machines still gets real crowded on Friday and Saturday night. One of the reasons we don't play there much. Love having plenty of options and space at Isle.

PS: We've also heard LDL was going to or did rearranged the floor in the past couple of months. We need to go by and check it out...

LDL has DDB on almost all off their VP machines. Good Luck, their machine are tight to say the least.
As Lucky Larry suggested, try the Isle you will probably do a lot better over there.

Went to the Isle and LDL within the last 2 weeks. All poker machines we played were really tight. Not going back to LA casinos. Will try OK or NV next time we want to gamble.

Forgot to mention, if you do happen to win a taxable hand in LA, they keep out a portion for LA state taxes. You can file a LA return the following year to get it back, but what a hassle. They are hoping you won't bother and they can keep your money.
