I NEVER win playing video poker anymore.

Did you hit any jackpots? Did you get a great comp? We all want to know!

.All pro players know were the machines are tight and who has the loose machines.

 Actually, any competent player can figure it out.  You look at the pay tables.  The poor pay tables are the "tight" machines, and the optimum pay tables are the "loose" ones.

Perhaps cubd1 is onto something here. I find it strange there have been no posts in awhile of anyone hitting any jackpots?

Go to Video Stories and look at-- $$$ My Vegas trip pictures, posted Aug 26...So you will know I'm a recreational player..Mostly quarters but if a progressive dollar is high I'll give it a shot...and yes I brought money home...and that was just the pictures I posted..Got a good number of 40k's and bonus plays...I play mostly at Red Rock,and GVR, but had some fun and luck at South Point also. Last year I hit a $2000+ progressive at Aliante. So it does happen. I play slowly and carefully and follow the game rules..Well most the time..Some times I take a risk and go for something big. Usually does not happen..I've been reading from this post and sometimes wonder if the reason "we" sometime think that VP has gone down hill regarding wins is that we play so much faster and with so much more money than we did when the original game started. It took a lot longer to plunk $100 worth of quarters into a machine than it does to stick in one bill. Also in the beginning there were no bonus games. The excitement was just getting 4OK and when they added the 4A for $100 that was Nirvana. Now we get upset if we aren't getting the bonus hits or Royals. Just food for thought. I don't think the casinos are cheating or switching out computer chips in the wee hours, we players just play with more money and expect more.

 I had a $2000 royal (my 8th $2000 royal this year) last Sunday.  It came less than 20 minutes after I sat down at the machine. I don't post pictures.

I took August off from casino visits, for the most part. A couple of Hard Rock Tampa visits (surprisingly, won both times, but no big JPs), and this week I was to be in Biloxi, which is currently underwater, unfortunately.

I will gear up again in September, and hopefully, will have some pics to post.

Cub,I too understand your frustration. I was going through a terrible losing streak playing mostly .25 DDB & TDB 3 play. Although I don't post a lot on here I do read everyone's advice and try to apply some of it. I went back to basics and now playing single line DW and DB (9/6) and the results have been very good. I have had 4 out of 5 winning sessions and can play for a lot longer. I have had 4 deuces twice and more 4oak's on single line than I had in months playing triple play.Last night was able to play for 4 hours after hitting deuces early on. Saw at least 3 handpays and there were 4 aces all around me. Thanks to everyone who posts on this forum, its both educational and entertaining. Good Luck to All!!!

Great job Tony, That triple play is very addictive. Instead of quitting it I just use a lower denomination...and thanks to this site I can play 3/5/10 all I want..

Where do you play? I also like casinos where I see people winning...Gives one HOPE...

[QUOTE=SaraTHAs
I said if it were possible to master this "skill" to a level where you would win consistently that fact would be a marketing ploy for every casino.  I could give you links to casinos websites where they flat out state you WILL lose more than you win in the long run. Here endeth the lesson.
Sara, please post one of those web page links. I, honestly, have never read that on a casino-authored website. [/QUOTE]
Sara, I would really like to see an example of the website that you refer to. Can you accommodate me with a web page link?
