I NEVER win playing video poker anymore.

Did you hit any jackpots? Did you get a great comp? We all want to know!

That is one of the reasons that I like playing TDB, where AWAK pays the same as an RF.

Have you ever played at the South Point?

i think you would like the selection of 9/7 TDB they have there.[/QUOTE]
I have not played there. Since I only frequent Vegas a few times a year, I stay and play where I am comped. I have found the occasional 9/7 TDB at certain Caesars/Harrahs and MGM properties, but not often.

One thing funky to me is double bouns vs duces wild, I can get a natural 4 of a kind in DW in 15mins of play yet DB it takes almost an hr. Why would that be if not programed? Ron Harris I think is right on, read up on this guy. NO machine in the casino is random he says I am starting to agree.

I have played millions of hands of deuces wild and your statement does not hold for me.

In addition, those who actually track their results find that machines pretty much match expectations. Do you track all your results? I would suggest doing so if you want to get a true picture. We all have a tendency to notice certain things and ignore situations when they don't match what we expect.

Since I only frequent Vegas a few times a year, I stay and play where I am comped. That's been pretty much my philosophy over the years, as well.  But, it doesn't hurt to be aware of what else is "out there", just in case the existing relationships sour.

I play VP on legal online casinos. I truly believe they are adjusted so that you will never win. I have been dealt 3 ok a kind maybe 50x without ever getting the 4th card. I believe they are adjusted so that you will never win.

There is about an 11% likelihood of going 0 for 50 on draws to trips without hitting a quad. It happens, obviously, a lot, and the fact that it's happened to you is hardly significant.

I have to agree. I am regularly playing live in a real casino and in the midst of probably the second coldest streak in my 30 years of playing VP. It is just the nature of the beast.

My advice to anyone who's not winning is to do the opposite of your instinct and cascade your bet downward. It's the only way you can actively cut into the juice taken out of the paytable and get real cost savings. If you go with your natural instinct and raise your bet to drown out a cold streak (guilty lol), you just compound the casino's advantage. In a simple explanation, if you go on a double 00 roulette wheel and martingale the colors, you may be betting 15 dollars but your averaged out theoretical loss per spin will be 33% or 5 dollars per spin if your stop loss is 6 losses in a row (do the math for a roulette color, 2.132% chance of failure for a 6 in a row martingale vs a 1.563% chance of failure on a fair coinflip 6 times in a row martingale, the wonders of compounding). You will be winning all the time if you do a negative progression on any casino game, of course, but when the piper comes to reap what you've sown you're gonna need some vaseline for the new one he ripped you lol.
