Arizona, Charlie's and Fiesta Henderson ???

Post by kjohn »

It's getting close to our 4 1/2 day trip to Vegas and we're trying to line up where we want to play, OFF the strip.

One day we're going to Mesquite, just for the fun of it. We'll stop by Aliante on the way.

Another day it's GVR and South Pt. We're thinking of hitting the Fiesta or Arizona Charlie's. I've never been to either so want to know if they are fun places.

Since we're two older woman traveling without the guys we want to be safe. We're staying at RR and will back there before dark.

ANY input on Arizona Charlie or Fiesta would be appreciated...FiestaArizona Charlie's

There are two Arizona Charlie's. I assume you are referring to the one on Boulder Hwy since that's on the same side of town as Fiesta Henderson.

I used to gamble at Fiesta all the time. It's another Stations Casino and has many of the same games as RR. Not as fancy but you should like it.

I've only been in Arizona Charlies a few times and that was 7 years ago so I can't say much about what games you'll find now. It's located between Sam's Town and Boulder Station. That area is not the greatest but should be fine during the day.

We don't want to get into any questionable parts of town. Since we're staying at RR perhaps we'll try the Arizona Charlie's in Decatur.. Fiesta for sure... We just want to get out and about or we'll play too much and spend too much.. Thanks for the input..

Arizona Charlie's is a dump and in a poor neighborhood. Fiesta is a small step above. But both are literally as far as possible from red rock. I'd recommend suncoast and rampart instead. Both are on red rock's side of town and way nicer.

Is Arizona Charlie's Decatur also a dump? I went in Rampart once and left..It had that smell of death. Hardly anyone was there.
We will go to Suncoast...Don't mind driving to Henderson as we are going to GVR.

Rampart caters to an older crowd, but they stay pretty busy. 2X points totaling .5% on Fridays unless they switch it up for September.Looking for anything in particular as far as VP goes?

We're definitely an older crowd. We mostly play single line games or Triple play. DB, DDB or TDB..Don't play any of the multiplier games like Ultimate X, Super times etc.

I love progressives and their seem to be the most at RR. I've won more on progressives than any other machines.

Since we're staying at RR (free room, food) we'll be playing there every night. During the day we're going to branch out...Thanks for the input.

Kjohn, pretty close to RedRock is Suncoast Casino (a Boyd property).  Older casino but in a nice neighborhood.  A few weeks ago FBI agents shot a fugitve in the parking lot at Arizona Charlies Boulder.  We played there a few years ago, I wouldn't go out of my way to play there again.  Definitely not worth a drive from RR, kind of a sketchy area.  Best of luck to you both.  We are heading to Sams and Red Rock next week.
