Ok if you want to play $5 JoB with a short-pay straight flush.http://www.vpfree2.com/casino/rio-all-s ... casinoLots of lower-denomination options across the street at the Palms or Gold Coast.

The short pay on the straight flush doesn't cost much (99.52% versus 99.54%). If you want to play $10 or $25 single-line, you'll get the full 250 for the straight flush. At Harrah's properties what really matters is the theoretical on the games and the number of bonus reward credits you receive. Playing a higher average daily theoretical gives you far better offers down the road. 9/6 Jacks there is a poor choice of games. The theo is miniscule, the bonus reward credits are 0, and the slot club points you do get (.1% in comps or 0.05%) are WAY too small to make a 99.5% game playable. If you are playing intelligently at a Seven Stars or higher level, playing 9/5 JoB is usually a MUCH better choice than playing at a 9/6 JoB. You'll have to figure out for yourself what it takes to get $4,000 or $5,000 in "show up money" each time you play there, but with 9/6 JoB you have basically no chance at this level of benefits.  Players who only look at the return of the game itself and not the offers that are coming down the road should probably avoid Harrah's because you won't find anything there worth playing. If you consider everything, it can be a very profitable place to play. Bob

Something tells me someone who asks such a question in his post #1 isn't going to be putting $100K or more through on this trip. Thanks again for sharing.  Thinking about things from different angles is very beneficial.

Maybe he is asking how the VP at the Rio is, because he wants to buy the Rio.

very well put i was longing for when caesars palace had 25c 10 play nsud 9/6 job and for 10000 base points with 100k coin in and a "average" loss of under $250 per year could get rooms comped the diamond room and with 3x point could cover food costs for a 6-10x per year trips to lv while i did real play at palms fpdw and other places for live poker omaha 8 or better. now the best way to get room food comps is the coasters 5 play 9/6 job stp

I never thought about their players club this way but I understand what you mean regarding the theo calcs. Does Caesars really value 9/5 JOB play that much more highly than 9/6, though?
