Isn't Christina Binkley a Cover Girl model?
I thought her name was Brinkly? The QOD sure saved me money. The last thing I want to read about is Kirk Kekorian.

Yes it's Christie Brinkley. Faygo, ironically, I felt the same about Steve Wynn, a visionary overlord who doesn't mind crapping on little peons like me who work in the service industry. Didn't know anything of Kerkorian til now. I liken these people to Michael Eisner, my former dictator, ruthless and heartless unless you know him.

Vegas bound? FYI: check out: lasvegasadvisor, last listing under Spotlight, FREE SHUTTLES This gets you to more "transportation". My husband, who has yet to visit this site, thought some of you would be interested in a site called "cheapolasvegas". (He doesn't care what I write about as long as it is NOT about him!) Just booked great flight on Spirit to stay free again at Paris, between a gift vacation on Mackinac Island and friends visiting from England. Our son, recently relocated to VA, has business in Vegas so it's a good chance to see him. We thought he had a rental car and he thought we did.

A new book was just released either this week or last week. My wife ordered it and received one of the first copies I think.
"Double or Nothing" by Tom Breitling, the story behind those two guys who bought the Golden Nugget down on Fremont St in Vegas.
I haven't read it yet...will have to wait for Verna to finish it <sigh>.
The GN is not one of my favorite haunts but it shore is a purtty place!
I finished the book in 2 sittings..it's a very quick read. Some good insight into the purchase, operation and selling of the GN. Those 2 guys were in the right place at the right time and have the bank accounts to prove it. I do think they had the GN on the right track when they sold. Too bad they didn't want to be long term owners and maybe branched out somewhere else.

We just returned from a fun and fast trip to Vegas, primarily to see our son, who was there on business. We caught Penn and Teller's amazing show at the Rio and experienced the monorail. From the 23rd floor at Paris, we awoke and were at the Victorian Room in 14 minutes! It's a handsome restaurant at the back of Bill's, nee Barbary Coast. We are addicted to their breakfast special before 7:00 AM on every trip. Perfect decor, food and service. Featured is gorgeous dark paneling and stained glass art work. The first day was beyond disaster at four casinos, VP-wise for me. What am I doing here? Then, FOUR royals in two days at Palms, a record for me. YES! Three at quarter denom and one at $1, two DDB and two DW. I was dealt four to the royal on two and three to the royal on the other two. Two royals were on single line and two on three and five play. Quad aces six times and awak twice, half on quarter and half on $1 machines. My best wins there to date and the most I ever brought home from Vegas. It seemed strange quad deuces never appeared and same happened last time. It was HOT and windy and construction as far as the eye could see.

Mojo stealing is illegal in 28 states and puerto rico, but not nevada.

Didn't know you were on the up-and-up on this stuff. Who knew you were more than the average OEJ?
