I just heard from my friend that I play with at the Taj. She was there today playing the triple play $1 STP in the Sultans Palace and got dealt 4 aces and pulled one kicker for $28,800! WOOHOOOOOOO So it does really happen!

I was happy to have hit the wild royal for 8X a few times on dollar deuces, until i just read this post. I also hit four 3's w/kicker at 8X on a quarter machine once. Have you invited her(and her luck) to come with you on your next Taj trip?

STP is where it happens. The multiples are so high that even though it's rare, there are some awfully big hits. My largest jackpot ever ($73K) was on an STP. I know of a woman who hit for $160K, and in theory it's possible to hit for $400K if you were dealt a royal on a multiplier of 10.

bigboy-I play with her all the time and she usually loses bigtime until 2 weeks ago they were giving out money every hr and she got picked for 15,000 bucks! Then this great win! Maybe her luck is changing! I hope so cause she is a really nice lady! These stories are what keeps us going back to STP- However we dont play our whole trip there anymore when the machines are cold. That feeling that hey they have to get hot soon is a figment of our imagination! LOL

I think I might know of the lady you are talking about. There is a lady that is there quite often playing STP, almost everytime I am there playing, she is there. Does she have short blond hair w/ glasses? If so, I think I know who you're talking about.
That's quite a hit! Now if I can only get something like that tomorrow!
Tomorrow through Thursday morning is my trip with my parents. I'll be sure to post a trip report when I return Thursday. Hopefully I'll have some W2G stories to tell. LOL

Oh my God thats her!! LOL Shes really nice and we have a great time when we play with her. If youve seen her you have probably see me and my husband. Im the pleasantly plump (LOL) woman with short brown hair and glasses with a grey haired hubby who carries an orange tote! LOL

You're right, she is very nice. We have talked several times when we were playing STP rooting each other on. She gets quite a few hand pays, but then again, she also plays 50-cent 10-handed STP quite a bit.. LOL

It was the orange tote that gave us away right? LOL Deffinitely say Hi! Yes she gets many handpays but at the denomination (and speed)she plays its peanuts. She doesnt get as excited with a 4oak as I do! LOL I bet when I see you I will recognize you from before!

LOL, yep, I remember the orange tote. I just can't believe that I have seen you both a few times before and we had no idea who each other was!
Yes, I've seen her go through countless 100's until she finally does hit a handpay, and even when she gets paid she tells me that it didn't get her money back yet. Yikes! But winning that huge jackpot she just hit, plus the money she won in the drawing will certainly help her out!
Excited with 4oaks? You should see me when my fiance and I play. I get very excited when i hit a quad in DDB or a str8 flush in Joker Poker. If I hit a royal in DDB or a 5oak in Joker the whole row knows.. LOL
I'll have to remember when your next trip is so I can stop over after work. Hopefully when I see ya you'll have the machine locked up with a nice handpay!

Speaking of getting excited, I once sat next to a tourist in a LV-area casino. He was obviously playing VP for the first time because he was sort of hunting and pecking at the buttons. On about his third or fourth hand he got really excited and clapped his hands, so several other players leaned over to try to see what he hit. He kind of looks around oh-so- casually like he's a big pro and, trying hard to control himself, he says, "Hit a full house."
