Our "Indians" are Seminoles and Miccosuukes and are from the good old USA. In fact, I think they were here before we got here... Anyway, who cares? I thought we were talking about Video Poker?

Katipug no need to APOLOGIZE to me.....in fact, how many pugs do you have? I have two, a boy and a girl named Gustavus and Molly. While we are on the subject of Native American Tribal gaming, since I live one hour from Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun In Connecticut, I happen to know and follow a lot with regards this whole issue. At first, I was a huge supporter and proponent of Tribal casinos and gaming, as I often feel the Natives were royally screwed in many instances (but not all) as this country grew and expanded and encroached on their lands. But these last couple years, my views and tune have changed a little..... I think, now, tribes like the Pequots (Foxwoods owner) have screwed themselves totally with their greed, and now that they are attemtping to access federal monies and grants that really should only go to the poorest tribes who do not have a casino, I think they are no better now than the White Anglo Saxon Devils who destroyed their way of life back in 1700! Seriously, has anyone else besides me seen the news stories about how Foxwoods (and many other tribal casinos) have been requesting and getting MILLIONS of Federal dollars via Grants in the last few years, on the basis that their former Billion Dollar Goldmine is not making the profit it once did! This is in my opinion despicable! The whole reason tribal casinos evolved in the last 80s and after is to allow the Native Americans to become INDEPENDENT and free of the US government! Now it is going back to the way it started! These native americans like the Pequots, it turns out, really are no different (either better nor worse) than the other races they bumped up against in history, It just shows you that people are people, same weakenesses and faults as well as potential strengths, no matter what color or race or creed they are!

DA you are partially right. The pequot's screwed themselves. Rather than investing the casino monies back into the tribe the membership chose to give it to themselves. They voted a huge per capita payment. Let the casino degrade and people stopped showing up after the downturn in the economy. Now they are screwed. That you are right about that

faygo, that kind of diplomacy is what I would expect from a true Video Poker Master! Good advice. And you taught me something new! I was trying to figure out how you got that emoticon to be so skinny. If only that would work in real life, I wouldn't need to watch what I eat!

Unfortunately, things have gotten a little overheated here and lines have been crossed. Let's all take some time away from this issue. The suspension will be temporary.
