Tiny Indian Casino has "gotcha" button!

Post by FloridaPhil »

Went on a three a day fishing trip last week.  Just had to stop by the tiny Indian Casino on the reservation near the City of Okeechobee Florida.  Got lucky and hit a couple of quads early, so all went well.  Along the way I hit the Max Coins button and the machine made a 100 coin bet.   I nearly fell over, but felt a little better when I drew a straight and made a nice profit.  I hate it when they do this crap.  I wonder how many seniors get sucked into this scam lose all their money in 5 hands, then wonder why?

Probably more than we want to know...but if they hit a hand, it will let them win more as well. When I've accidentally done that, I definitely have run below average, imo.

I saw an older lady get thrown out of the Tampa Hard Rock about 6 months ago. She had been playing at a dollar denomination and lost a bunch of money.  She was claiming the machine malfunctioned and moved her to a high denomination without her knowledge.  Boy was she pissed...  They escorted her to the door hollering.

That was my grandma, "Granny Burglar".....dirty bah-stahds Seriously though, this IS a rotten thing to do on the part of any casino.   There really should be a HUGE sign or a flashing button or something to alert any player of what the "MAX" bet is for any game/machine in VP, since bet 5 has been the norm since day one ..... I mean, all 5 cent machines in AC and elsewhere, when you hit MAX Bet, you end up playing WAY more than what the usual 25 cent machine would be, which is often the whole point for someone to play 5 cents, to preserve bankroll and limit losses.  The casinos are UBER desperate these days and resort to all kinds of cheap tricks.

OMG this reminded me of hitting the max button my mistake on a penny machine, $4,50 a hit, I just about fell of the chair, and of course I didn't hit a darn thing, I prayed that I would hit something to get the bet back but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO never happend that way for me,,,,, sure is a sickening feeling when you do a stupid thing like that  Probably won't be the last time it happens either, but I try to watch what Iam doing a little more.

How can one blame a TRIBAL NATIVE AMERICAN casino for people's ignorance? I just don't get it.

Ive been waiting all day to see if you would post, Edog, as soon as I saw the words"Tiny Indian Casino" I knew you would be there to defend the Native Americans. It's a shame us poor dumb white people ( insert here, Black, African American, Mexican, Asian or Oriental, American Eskimo) You and your people were not the first, nor will they be the last to suffer from ignorance or prejudice in this world. Im not making light of this, but you cant change the world by jumping on anyone on here that says the word Indian. There is a serious need to educate people but calling them ignorant does not further your cause, just makes you seem hostile and petty. Get a grip and move on. And I like you, I can't imagine what others may think.  kati
You know , everybody is ignorant, only on different subjects- Will Rodgers-   also Nobody wants his cause near as bad as he wants to talk about his cause- Will Rodgers
