Caesars Atlantic City 9/7 - 9/11

Post by chattycattty »

In May we visited AC for the first time and really enjoyed ourselves. We gambled hard and after 4 days came close to breaking even. We did the boardwalk, tried a Whitehouse sub, went to Legends show, ate at Nero's for Sunday brunch, and spent time in both the Diamond and 7 star lounge. My only complaint was the weather was a little on the cool side. This trip it looks like the weather is going to be perfect.

We are bringing some friends with us on this trip and are will be arriving Sat. night and will be in AC all day Sun., Mon., and Tues. We are planning on spending Sunday at Harrahs. We have heard that on Sunday Harrahs has a seafood brunch that rivals Nero's for about half the price. Any feedback would be great.

We are looking forward to going to the marina district. We stayed on the boardwalk our entire trip in May. Any suggestions on things to see in that area?

Sometime on Monday we plan on visiting the Irish Pub. Any comments on best time of day and what to order would be appreciated. We have heard they also have a lightshow on the boardwalk at night.   Anyone been to that?

On Tuesday we plan on seeing Legends in concert again. Looks like they have an entirely different show from last time. The rest of the time we will gamble.

My wife plays regular / high limit slots and I play video poker. We play only at CET properties so we can maintain 7 star status and get all the free stuff.

Most of the time I will probably play VP either at Caesars or next door at Bally's. Between the two places, any thoughts on who has the best selection and pay tables?

We are counting the days and can't wait to be back in Atlantic City.

Do you have a Borgata players card ? If you don't, and if you would like to eat at the Borgata's players lounge ( The Amphoria Lounge ) The Borgata has a promotion now that will give you the upgraded Black Card when you sign up for a players card. When you sign-up for a card show your Sevan Stars  or Diamond card..The Black card will give you access to the Amphoria Lounge..The Amphoria Lounge is equivalent to the Diamond Club Lounge at Harrah's, Ceasars & Bally's. IMO it's the best players lounge in AC. The food is excellent. The hours are Sunday 11 AM untill 9 PM, Mon,Tues,Wed,Thurs. 2 PM untill 9 PM.. The Black card holder is permitted to take 1 guest in. Are your friends Diamond or 7 Stars players?  They usually allow first time upgrade players to access the lounge for free. If you sign up for a card ask the Borgata's Rep. if you can still acess the club for free for the first time. After the first time you will need $10 comp dollars per person to enter.. The Borgata's Buffet is $10 comp dollars per-person.With the black card the parking is free just like Harrah's, Ceasars.IMO the Irsh Pub isn't that great.I hope this is helpfull for you.. Good Luck , Have a great trip.

JDW thanks for the response. My wife is 7 star and I am diamond. Our friends are platinum. We were thinking we might stop in at Borgata on Sunday. Sorry to hear about the Irish Pub. What did you not like about the Irish Pub? How is the video poker action at Harrahs?

I am not sure what games or denoms that you play, but at Caesars, there is a row of Five Star Poker machines near the horse betting parlor. On those machines, they have Double Pay TDB 9/7 for $1 denom.

Thanks Billyjoe. I typically play .25 or $1's on single line games or 15 to 25 quarters on multigames if I can find them with a decent paytable.

I play JOB, BP, DW, and DDB for the most part. Thanks for the tip on the TDB machines. I'll try to find them and run a Benjamin through and see what happens.

I should apologize! It has been about 10 years since I was in the Irish Pub. It has change owners since then. The new owners also have a Irish Pub in Phila. also. When I was in the Irsh pub then it was OLD and not very CLEAN. I wasn't impressed by the menu. Here is the website of " the Irsh Pub "  http://www.theirishpub.com/2010/Irish_P ... ut_Us.htmI just talk to The Borgata card center. They said if you DO NOT HAVE a previous Borgata card and are notin there computer system. You can get the upgrade to black card $20 comp dollars to use for the Amphoria Lounge. $100 SLOT DOLLARS to play. 1 comp. room night. Here the Borgata phone # 1-866-692-6742 press 0 for the operator. If you and your wife can take advantage of this offer. You can take you friends in with you. Sometimes there is a line for dinner but it does move quickly. The B-bar has VP machine 9/6 JOB, Deuces joker poker, and DDB, The drinks are free during your play. I mostly play the VP machines near the buffet.I haven't been to Harrah's for over a year so I'm not familier with there VP. I was Ceasar's on Sunday and have notice they have removed some VP machine upstairs.

Resorts has F.P. B.P. in quaters and up. DW is terrible in AC. Ceasers has an 8 machine 9/6 JOB in quaters prog that often hard to get on. T.P has 6 9/6 JOb in quaters near parking garage entrance. Best bet is the B bar get there  early for a seat. Good Luck

Thank you for the additional info on Borgata and Irish Pub. I think we are good at Borgata unless they are affiliated with another casino's playing card we may have played at a long time ago. We have never been to Borgata before and we are anxious to try out the Amphora Lounge.

On our last trip the only lounges we visited were the 7 Star lounge at Caesars, and the Diamond lounges at Caesars and Showboat. Of the three we liked the Diamond lounge at Caesars the best. It was so spacious. It must hold 500 people. The food was better than other Caesars lounges we have been to in other parts of the country.

In particular we liked all the windows where you could look out and watch the ocean. We felt like we were on a cruise ship.

Thanks Ed. I doubt we will play there as we only play at CET properties. When we were at Caesars in May, they did have a bank of 9/6 job quarter machines I played. Never hit a royal but had to leave after about 30 minutes because the smoke was so bad.

Chattycatty; The view from the Diamond Club at Ceasar's and Bally's is nice, looking over the ocean. The Borgata is affiliated with Boyd Gaming. But there player cards and system are not together like CET Prop.  If you like sports you can watch the football & baseball game in the Amphoria Lounge in the Media section on 12 TV during your dinner. This place is a lot of fun when the Phila. Eagles play the NY Giants. The VP machines I play are near the buffet. If you would like to know.Good Luck and have a good time. Jim
