The main reason was that several members requested this when we asked for ideas to make contests more interesting, and this was the easiest idea to implement in a timely fashion. At the time, I didn't see anyone saying it would be a bad idea but now that we've tried it, we'll certainly have to weight the negative feedback as well.Personally, strictly from a contest standpoint, I think this is better. The Winner's Challenge was fairly uninteresting with the previous format, as only a handful of players were making the right game choices to win and we'd see the same people near the top month after month. And for the most part, there is usually only one "smart" pick to try to win the daily contest as well (usually TDB, or DDB when TDB is not an option). Now, you don't have to choose between going for the Winner's Challenge or the top score (with some possible strategy exceptions) and the playing field is more level for everyone.But... I know people have their favorite games they like to play, and it's apparent from the comments here that some people like switching it up in the middle to keep things interesting.Later in the month, we'll evaluate whether this approach is a net positive or not. I know whatever we decide, there will be some who are unhappy with the decision, but we'll do our best to serve the community as a whole. Thank you all for the feedback so far.

I don't mind that theres no choices but up to now its always TDB-why not DWB or ac jokers!

I would hate to see the winners challenge go for one reason. First of all I had ZERO chance of winning the dang thing....that was NEVER my strategy. Instead I looked ahead to games I actually enjoy playing and banked all my extra games for that day or days. Some days I played a game I hated with DW JOB or something just to get some entries banked up to use on a contest I like. Either way doesn't matter, this is a great little place to play....and on the flip side look at all the new people on the forum

I'm hoping we can somehow keep the Daily Contest Bonus Entries, even if the Daily Challenge goes away. Please?

I second that. The daily challenge was never my thing but I loved saving extra games up for the daily challenges I like. Made it a lot more fun.

Ooh, I hate this new format of only one game to play. BORING! I want choices. Like at a real casino - when one isn't paying, I move on to another one.

For the first time since playing the daily contests, I drew a blank playing Multi-Strike poker.  For me it was the perfect storm.  The variation of video poker I hate the most, TDB, matched with the game I hate the most, multi-strike poker.  The end result was ZERO wins in 8 games.  I did get above 800 a couple of times but am getting a little tired of high volatility games.

I tried to vote my opinion of the new daily format on another thread but was unclear whether my vote was counted or not.  Webman, if you are reading this, please put me in the camp that does not like the new daily contest format.    I prefer changing it up, much like I do when I am at the casino with low volatility games like JOB, BP, and occasionally some DDB to keep it interesting.

I realize that not everybody likes low volatility games but that is the point I am trying to make with this post.  With the old format, you can play what you want to play.  You can develop a strategy to try to win the daily contest or you can play to put yourself in position to win the monthly contest.  This new daily format severely limits any strategy and puts you in a position where you are hoping that you are one of the lucky ones that see Aces with a Kicker pop up.

Sorry if I offended any fans of TDB or Multi-Strike poker.  I simply do not like either one.
