RCL Cruise Ship Casino
Going to Bahamas on RCL Enchantment of the Seas in a couple of weeks. I have never cruised RCL, only NCL. Any one have any advice regarding their on-board casino ?

Pay tables not good. Free drinks at bar in casino, much better.
I don't play TDB so I don't recall what their pay tables were. I recall a lot of 7/5 pay tables on JOB, 6/5 on BP therefore didn't play much.
I did play some craps. Had fun with that. Overall the highlight of the casino for me was the free drinks.

On our first cruise, to Alaska on Holland America, I did find one full-pay JW game. So take a good reference along (I use Linda Boyd's Video Poker Edge), and if all else fails play for enjoyment at low limits.
We're headed for the Costa Maya on NCL Norwegian Dawn in February so any info on that one appreciated. Good Mathematics.

play the tables! the dealers are very lax and will sometimes pay you when they shouldn't (provided, you are tipping them well). the last night of the cruise, i won $3500 playing BJ - probably tipped out $500
i got paid once when i had 18 and she had 19. i looked at her puzzled and she winked. the next time i won a hand (legitimately), i threw her a green chip. little while later, she paid me on a push. this went on for 2 hours (although not everytime).

You didn't happen to get her name did you? Wonder if she's still dealing out there on the briny somewhere...

Never sailed on The Dawn, just The Pearl (3 times) Star, and the new one out of New York, The Breakaway. Really liked the casino on The Pearl. Great staff.
I usually play tables on cruises, since the slots are dead, and the VP is usually limited. I love those female Romanian dealers.

I did pretty well playing tournament no limit Hold 'Em last time out. Fed most of it back thru the VP machines tho trying to hit a progressive. There was just the one, ten-seat, video-display poker table and for cash games it raked 15 percent with no limit; I'm not quite good enough to play against that kind of rake. One hand I heard about two players got Aces wired, the wound up splitting four bucks between them while the table raked six.
