Throwing Away Aces!
On my last weekly trip to the Hard Rock I saw another example of why Video Poker is so interesting. The guy next to me was playing DDB and as we played he hit a nice jackpot. The bells stayed on for quite a while, so I looked up to see what he had. He had a $2,000 Royal flush. I congradulated him and we talked while he waited for the slot host to pay him. He said he had thown away a pair of aces and got the Royal on the draw. I told him that took balls and he said he always plays for the Royal, no matter what cards he draws. Like they say "There's no bad plays if you win!". So true...

I would have asked him: "So, if you always go for the royal, when you're dealt four aces, how do you decide which three to throw away?"

Toss them all except the Ace of Spades. The Royal in Spades always looks so much cooler. ...lol...lol..

These kind of plays are why the casinos hopefully will always have VP machines to play.

and why do the casinos have to get rid of the 100%+ games I have seen on more then one time a player holding a single ace in fpdw and hitting a royal
