Mohegan Sun

Post by olds442jetaway »

Just a little warning to those like me who frequent Mohegan Sun. They are busy moving vp machines around all over the place, taking out the favorite ones, especially those with lower denominations, and yes, cutting paytables again. In particular or one example is some of the Double Down Stud machines being moved, changed to 50 cent machines, and the deuces wild game in that machine being changed to pay 6 for 4 of a kind instead of 7. This is just one example. Bottom line, check before you play...... PS...They had 2 5 cent multi strike machines with a 9/5 paytable for job. Not bad for a nickel machine. One is now gone.

Most of all the VP games have been moved to the old poker room in the Earth casino and in Sky casino they are near the cabaret right next to the sunset bar. I know there is a nickel multi strike poker in the hall of lost tribes also for a .05

That one in the Hall of Lost Tribes has been yanked out and I can't find it. I think it is gone. The other one is still in the old poker room as of last week. I don't know what else they have done until I get up there later this week. Very frustrating to say the least.

I was there the other day and there is a multi strike .05 near the Sunset bar in the sky casino about three row on the right before the bar.

Never seen double down stud. Was confused by your deuces wild reference. Found double down stud on here and now realize you were referring to deuces wild on double down stud only.

I guess a lot of casinos don't even offer DD stud machines. If you can find one with a decent paytable which is hard to do, you can play up to 12,000 hands in a 10 hour session. That gives you a big sample and usually in that amount of hands you will hit one of the bigger hands. Not the Royal of course, but something else good that pays a couple of hundred or more for one when doubled. Most of those hands that I like to hit average once every 5k hands or so. So if you are playing 12k hands you should hit at least two real nice hands. I have hit up to 8 nice paying ones in a single session. Once in awhile you will also hit the really big hands that only come in anywhere from every 50k hands on the average to 700k hands played.
