The only difference is that all games on these machines can pay back over 100% over time with "optimum" play. Of course, playing optimally is not all that easy or the casinos would never put in games like this. If you have more questions ask away.

Gold Coast and South Point are both  loaded with full pay machines, even at the bartop.
 
If you want even better, there is a bank of 10/7 double bonus at the Stratosphere,  and some nice full pay machines (even deuces wild) at the rear of Fitzgerald's back by the check in desk.

Didn't I hear or read something about Bob Dancer starting his "classes" down at the El Cortez?  Were that the case, then I'd assume that the "Dancer" endorsed machines would be a feature of that casino and all of the games on those machines are Full Pay.  Or, at least all the ones I've seen have been Full Pay.Can anyone confirm this tidbit about the Tez?

According to bobdancer.com he will start classes at the El Cortez on January 9th.  I guess I will have to put the El Cortez on list for my next trip at the end of this month.  I am assuming that the BD full pay machines will be there as well.

  toShadowman:went back to play the optimum play machines.Budgeted myself 1 Benjamin, spent $60, hit 4 4oak (DDB) no aces, no 2 3 4, just 5-K for 250 coins. after $60, walked with $54.25It was about as close to optimum as I can muster. Thanks for the advice.

    to Webman or Shadowman: I plan to visit LV in a couple of weeks.Can you recommend one place over another for Optimum Play? I'm a cheapskate so nickels to $1 is my range. The ones I played last were at Fiesta. VPFREE doesn't list Optimum Plays on their directories. Can you help? Thanks a bunch

VPFree has several separate places that can be pieced together to get the information you are looking for. For example, the various paytables and paybacks can be found at:

Any game with a value over 99% is considered a good play, while anything over 100% is a positive play. This does not mean you will always win, only that you should have better results over time using the proper strategy for each paytable.

However, I believe the "Optimum" brand of machine is limited to Stations casinos. If you see FPDW or 10/6 DDB at a Stations casino it is probably found at one of these machines.
 
Sam's Town has FPDW as well at the .25 level and a couple of 10/6 DDB scattered around. So do several other casinos as shown in:

There other aspects to consider as well. If a casino gives good comps and more CB it might be better to play there even with a lesser paytable.
 
It's a little difficult for me to recommend any one casino as I play several. I do this because it is more interesting to someone who plays a lot and there are certain benefits for "local" players to play an exact amount at a specific casino.
