Thanx for the links. I'll have to stop and try my hand at some VP there. Looks like a pretty good selection of games plus Optimums!

Went 17th to the GVR. Very nice, well appointed like the Red Rock.LOTS of VP there. Played DDB quarters so I didn't do so well but they have an excellent buffet! Better than South Point. Did some foolish things like holding 3 card flushes over a lo pair or 3 card royals over a hi pair. sometimes, it paid off(no royals tho!) but it wasn't the Dancer way! Is the single ace worth more than QK offsuit? Eduardo, lots to see and do for the kids. Check all the websites including LVAdvisor. Enjoy

For DDB paytables ... yes.

I understand if there is a bonus for quad aces (with or without kickers) but what about say JOB or BP? would near perfect play have you hold the KQ or the A as Dancer would?

For JoB and BP the correct play would be the KQ. For DB, the correct play depends on the other cards in your hand, but then you didn't ask about DB so I'll leave it at that.

Don't often play DB unless it's the only game with the most positive paytable. If it's the only game available at say 7/5 or 8/5, I'll go elsewhere to find a 9/5 or 9/6. Not really worth it unless you really feel the lucky streak. Then you may as well play roulette!

Then you may as well play roulette! Most of us here, you'll find out if you haven't already, are pretty anal about those paytables.Frustrates me to death to see someone pounding away at a machine when the one next to it has a better paytable for the same game!  I've gotten to the point now that I do not point that out any more. The last time I did that turned out very well.  A gentleman I met at Main Street Station was playing 9/6 DDB when I sat down at the machine next to him.  I was familiar with the bank of machines and knew that the one that I sat at was the only one in that casino that had 10/6 DDB.  I mentioned it to the gentleman and he listened!  That is RARE!  By the way, he and I still maintain contact and one of these days, we'll meet up again "out there".  I look forward to that! Most of the time though, I found that people took it as a personal insult if I pointed out something like that!  Typical response, "I only play for fun and don't get many Full Houses anyway so it doesn't matter!"  Hopefully, some of them thought about it later and read up on it a bit.  I just keep my mouth shut these days.
