I don't think so....The Palms is sthe worst hotel in Vegas...Try playing at the Wynn. The loosest machines in town.  No kidding

Aunt: We visit PALMS on every Vegas trip and have luck there. 10/7 DB and 10/6 DDB on upright machines in front of doors closest to GOLD COAST. 10/6 DDB with sign "100%" on uprights just inside doors closest to food court and movie theaters. NSUD and LDW and more great machines at Palms. Plus I was dealt royal on three play DW $.25 on much earlier visit for $3000 and those machines are still there. Nothing good happened to us at WYNN but it's beautiful! Mike A has good point - I told a player at Greektown that the DW game she was playing had a poor pay table. 100 for royal with deuces (dirty royal as called here) I told her I wasn't playing DW there because of the pay table but the machines behind us had the 125 payoff for dirty royal. She kept on playing anyway. However, I have been grateful when others offer me advice and helpful web sites. Once a guy told me "you always trade up" when I was undecided how to play a DW progressive good hand. Good advice and he was right in that instance and so many more times since then when I recalled his words and acted accordingly! However, when running low on cash I have to play it safely at times and settle for the first winning hand.

How does one "trade up" and did you mean a potentially good hand?

$.25 one line DW video poker, progressive on the royal only. Draw: 222AX  Four of a kind is a safe way, but what lies under the X. Five aces would bring 400q bonus ($100) A suited face card for the A would net a mixed royal for 125q, however, four deuces would net $250 and four deuces with a kicker, $500. Options are nice. I TRADED UP for the deuces and kicker! YES! Friends opted to stay home and look for their very sick cat. They had won TIGERS tickets and called at the last minute. We watched the Tigers win from our 2nd row seats, a few blocks from Greektown Casino. We had free parking and comped food at Greektown and were $500 richer! Sometimes the gods smile on us! We cheerfully picked up the check the next time we ate out with our friends.

Howdy all. I am currently serving in Afghanistan and when I return I will be visiting Vegas in June. I am thinking about staying at The Golden Nugget. I need a place with a pool. I love to play DDB. Any advice?

Here's the vpfree summary of casinos in Las Vegas:

When I clicked on the Golden Nugget I didn't see any good DDB, however the casino is NOT monitored which means the information may not be up-to-date. You can check out some of the casino web pages from this link and see what interests you.
