Off to Biloxi
We're leaving Sunday morning for three days at the Beau Rivage. It's been a great three months and I'm hoping my luck will continue. Bring on the Royals!

Good luck.Get some of my money back for me. My trip was up and down with an ultimate hole. You would have thought I was digging a swimming pool.I hope it goes better for you.

Incredible as it seems, I was delt another Royal at Margaritaviile on Sunday afternoon playing quarter Deuces. It's been kind of downhill since then. Got two sets of quad deuces today and I'm hanging in there. Man, the odds at the Beau are just terrible. Good thing the place is so nice or I wouldn't come here at all. The hotel is just great. I'm seriously thinking about paying cash for my room next time and gambling somewhere else. On the other hand, with the luck I'm having lately the odds don't seem to matter. This will never last...

Yeah beau's paytables def are bad, but do you feel like you get comped well for your coin in? If you feel like comps or mailers are worth 2% of your coin in then 97% poker doesn't look so bad anymore.
Nice hit on the royal!

Vman,I think it is worth going there from Austin. Private plane for 150 people, room, shuttle and food basically paid by the Beau for two people. I think it's worth more in the warmer months so the outdoor pool and beach can be used. Great hotel, just bad pay tables. I actually did better on a dollar slot machine - hit 3 sevens for $900. But very little good action on videopoker. If I go again, I'll rent a car, drive to Gulfport and try parasailing. Biloxi itself has no public beaches with chair/umbrella rentals or even small restaurants (comparing it to Galveston). As far as gambling, only enough to keep the offers coming. Oh, yes, if you like to golf (and I don't), I hear the Beau has a good golf course. So, the comps are probably worth the bad videopoker.

I get to The Beau from FLA usually once a month. Yes, their golf course, Fallen Oak, is fantastic, and open only to guests of The Beau. As an MGM NOIR, I do not pay for a thing, nor do they take any of my earned Express Comp Dollars to pay for anything.
It is disappointing that the VP is thin at best. But the way they treat me, it is hard to resist continuing to play there.

Nothing notable happened this morning, so we came home with a small loss between us. It would have been much worse if the Royal hadn't fallen out of the sky. If you factor in the hotel stay and such, we were winners. The hotel and the staff were fantastic as usual. We feel bad staying there for free and playing at other casinos, so we play their bad tables in the mornings and evenings. Get this, the Beau Rivage DW odds are the same terrible 95.6% game from nickels all the way to dollars! All the DDB games are 7/5 except for the quarter progressive in the back at 8/5. The IP has 98.9% DW in quarters and Margaritaville has 9/6 quarter Jacks and DDB. If the Beau had better VP odds, we would never leave the place. We're not gripping, but it's discouraging to play such bad odds. Even the Tampa Hard Rock is better than that and that's saying something.
