Just in Time...

Post by FloridaPhil »

I made my weekly trip to the Hard Rock this morning.  With  $25 in free play, I sent off to make my fortune...   I had two bad trips the last couple of weeks, so I decided to warm up for vacation and play single coin DDB.  I hit quad fours early and cashed out, but after that it was 3 hours of nothing.  I got tired and went for broke with the remaining cash.  At max coins, 4 aces popped up for $200 (nice). Right after that I was delt A4444 for another $200.  It turned out to be a good day after all.

I'm becoming a huge fan of single coin play.  With enough play under your belt, I think this is inevitable.  It fits my personal situation perfectly and works for me.  I used to start out strong and go to single coin play only when I was down to my last couple of bucks.  This frequently put me in the hole and I would tend to chase my loses. This didn't effect me financially, but big loses would depress me for days and really hurt my VP balance sheet.   Lately, I've been starting with single coin and working my way up to max coins, then into the higher denominations.  You have to be ready for a single coin Royal.  I've had a bunch of them and it doesn't bother me any more.  Hiting a single coin Royal pays more than hitting one on this website...

Having a great hit when you are down to your last dollars is especially rewarding. Congrats.
