Yeah, for the last 25+ years, cards continuously shuffle until you hit "draw". And I've missed all my 4 to a Royal draws in a casino for over 4 years now... I have close to 20 misses on my newest phone in the last 16 months. Bah.

I heard a Class III machine continually cycles through the remaining 47 cards until you hit the draw button. But the odds are exactly the same as if the cards were predetermined from the top of a hand shuffled deck so waiting does not matter. I've yet to convert on any of my 20 opportunities thus far.On these new machines that are going in I could see continually shuffle of 47 cards. But some of the machines I play on are 25 years old with the old tube screens. The cards look funny colors as the tubes are going out in them. I would think them old machines still drawing 10 cards per draw as I don't think a software up date in them would not work to continue to shuffle without a motherboard change.

I was told the update to continuous shuffle was with the Game King line of machines. Anything before then has the 10 card system. I put that change over around 2000 or about 15 years ago. This is for IGT machines. I don't think anyone knows about Bally's or other manufacturers.

Don't remember if I mentioned it earlier in this thread but I've had 4RF misses in streaks of 208, 199 and recently 249. After my last streak I hit 3 times in 15 attempts. The machines I'm playing now use the 10 card system (built in the early 1990s).

More times then I can count I hate it on 100 play and not ONE comes in.. last week got 4 to the royal 4 times in one game and hit 1...

Once I was playing deuces wild and got dealt four-to-a-royal twice...the first time I drew a deuce, and the second time I drew a natural royal. Of course, I was being a cheapskate and only betting 5 cents a hand, so I only won about $12...but at least it's better than not winning $12.
