FP VP locations in Vegas

Post by marpa »

Am traveling to Vegas in a couple of weeks and am trying to find out not only the casinos in Vegas with FP VP (JOB), but generally the locations of the machines if possible with the casino. I thought that I saw it on a post here, but can not find it now, Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

By all means, stay away from the strip locations! Along the Boulder strip might be an alternative. Places like South Point are good along with Arizona Charlies and most Station casinos. Downtown, who Knows? As for where the good machines are, you might want to check out V.P. lost and found column in the Las Vegas Advisor paper which is published monthly!---CWA---

This won't give you the detail your looking for but it does narrow your search a little bit.

Rule of thumb is to stay away from the strip, but I have had the best luck at the Monte Carlo.  Been staying there for 10 yrs. and have hit a total of 8 royals.  We were there this week and I hit 4 royals (1 on Wednesday & 3 on Friday).  Try the quarter DDB machines near the cashier cage, next to the Player's Club desk.  I hit two royals on each of the machines next to the main aisle.  Be patient - I noticed that these machines run in a hot/cold cycle.

As a newbie to this forum you have missed out on all the discussion on hot/cold cycles. I'd suggest a search to get yourself up to speed (if you're interested). The bottom line is there are no such things as hot/cold cycles in VP machines. To be sure we all experience hot/cold swings as we play. That is simply a side effect of randomness.

Marpa, the status of machines (FP and non-FP) in particular casinos can and often does change day-to-day.  Do check out some of the VP sites like vpFree to see what the latest VP availability is.  While they change often, usually vpFree keeps fairly up to date with their Casino Monitor system. As for the locations of machines in casinos...those change too depending on the whims of the Suits upstairs making decisions.  It would be very difficult to keep that up to date.Good luck in Vegas!

Just got back from Vegas about a month ago, I had the best luck on the strip with a $1 Royal Progressive at the Paris while waiting to go up in the tower to eat.  Also, won about $7k at Harrahs on WSOP, $1 DDB and 10x Pay Multi-Strike... now that was fun.  The $1 DDB Progessive at Bellagio tried to payout but had to go to lunch and when I got back someone else had hit it.  Old vegas up on fremont tore me a new one.  New York New York was fair, Hit Quad Aces with the kicker at Luxor on $1 DDB Progressive and at the Tropicana I hite Quad 4's and Quad 2's both with the Kicker on $1 DDB on the ole ole style machines.

Stay away from the MGM, Cesears, Excalabir and Palms and lilke I said anything in Old Vegas.  But thats just one mans story.

That's the way it is with all gambling and VP is no different. One man's beautiful meadow is another man's cow pasture. We all tend to gravitate to where we've had personal success, but it really means very little. Playing the same paytable gives you the same odds of winning no matter where it is located.

I've been playing a nice promotion at one casino and have had good success. Another guy has played this promotion more than I have and has lost every time he has played. Interestingly, this is the same casino where I had poor luck over a 3 year period several years ago.
