On my way to practice

Post by DaBurglar »

I shall be in AC starting May 10 for about a week.....I am scheduled for a couple Borgata Poker Events (no limit holdem) as well as a couple daily tourneys in the new Ballys WSOP themed POKER room in the former Wild West Casino......I am practicing up for my sojourn to Vegas in Early June for the 2014 WSOP, I will arrive May 31, settle in and then make my decision what events to enter.....I will probably enter one of the preliminary events (buy in is around $1200-1500) that leads up to the Main Event, and if somehow I am successful, I will parlay my winnings and actually enter the $10,000 buy-in Main Event.ANyone else planning on entering the 2014 World Series OF Poker in Las Vegas at the RIO?????Billyjoel, why not give it a shot???   YOu might be surprised at how good you really are.....

Naw - I have no poker face. I would have to holler "HOLY CRAP" on every deal, just to throw off any tell.

I will be in Vegas June 12-17, though, so if you are still around, send me a PM on this site, and we can at least hook up for a drink.

Best of luck.

I had a good practice/warmup session with my N/L holdem play during my 5-1/2 days in AC......in between Poker sessions I dabbled again in Video Poker and got beat and posted about that elsewhere  (what else am I going to do when not sleeping or playing NL holdem?)   But I played in two Tournament style events (one at Borgata one at Ballys)  I busted out early at the Borgata, but at the Ballys tourney I finished in 3rd place and made about $800 profit after subtracting my entrance fee (which was 65 bucks)On three occasions during my 5 day stay I played a two table sit n go at the Showboat during their Midnite madness poker sessions........it costs $45 + $5 (45 into the prize pool, 5 bucks house fee)  to enter and the top 3 players (out of twenty) get paid.      I crapped the bed in two of them, but on the third try I finished second place and won 300 bucks  (prize pool is 900 bucks, first place gets 450, second place 300 and third gets 150)
