Ted. The last two times we stayed at Harrahs Laughlin we had room issues such as a dirty sink, uncleaned coffee maker, etc. No desire to go back.

fyi-  my toilet joke regarding Borgata & jimdeuces was in reference to the POKER cheating scandal at Borgata in which the idiot from north carolina who cheated dumped thousands of phony chips into the toilet in his Harrahs room next door.  He most likely would have gotten away with his caper if he had not panicked and simply disposed of his chips in normal fashion (like put them in a trash bag filled with garbage and then toss it in any dumpster in new jersey......Anyway, when jimdeuces mentioned "burglar" and Borgata and investigation/suspicions, this is what I was thinking about......They had a Borgata exec on the news when I was last in AC, and he basically said just what I said:  That the criminal who pulled the phony chip scam essentially got himself caught by doing what he did........when you panic in Poker, you always lose!

Jeter is correct!     Mr. Lusardi (the culprit who did the cheating and dumping) was in his room at Harrahs when he found out that the Borgata Tournament director had discovered the stark irregularities in the chip count when the tournament field was reduced to 27 people and they closed up shop for the night (Thursday), with play scheduled to resume at NOON the next day (Friday) for the final 27 players to decide the remaining prizes/placements.    Mr. Lusardi had already cashed out (he received something like $6300) but he STUPIDLY hung around with massive amounts of the fake chips......On Friday Morning, Mr. Lusardi was in the Borgata when he saw that the tournament had been SUspended pending an investigation.....He RUSHED back to his Harrahs Room and, in a panic, started FLUSHING the fake chips down the toilet.......they did not fit (not all at once anyway....someone pointed out that if he had been more calm and patiently flushed a few at a time, it might have worked.....but Lusardi thought they were immediately on to him and PANICKED and tried to flush the chips EN MASSE, which caused a major plumbing and flooding problem!   Lusardi FLED Harrahs with a large number of UNFLUSHED fake chips still in his possession)      Harrah's maintenance quickly discovered the fake chips in the pipes, and alerted Security.......Lusardi had taken up residence in some fleabag Motel in Atlantic City after fleeing HArrahs, either to be close to the situation to monitor what was going on, OR.....maybe he was just a total idiot......)But long story short,  Harrahs actually had MOST of the chips flushed on its premises......it is POSSIBLE  Mr. Lusardi flushed a FEW chips in one of Borgatas public restrooms DURING the actual tournament when he was playing, perhaps as he played and accumulated enough REAL legit chips to ensure he's be able to cash out, he tried to dump some of the evidence that was on the actual tables and in circulation at the time.Either way, this idiot ruined a lot of peoples' Month (and maybe longer), and caused Borgata, as well as all other AC casinos, to drastically revamp how Big Money Tournaments are run.....
