Anyone for BLACKJACK BONUS POKER

Post by DaBurglar »

I gave myself a headache trying to determine the strategy for BLACK JACK Bonus poker (whereby the Jack of Spades and Clubs take on HUGE importance in the midst of a game of typical DDB Video Poker!)     I mean Four jacks is now as valuable as FOUR aces, and yet if you get Four ACES, you also want one of the BLACK JACKS because now its worth half a royal!ANyone out there have any success with this game???

Why is it a headache?

I never have really looked into the game seriously since Tunica only offers 8/6 = 97.09%, but if you have trips with a Black Jack, it's clear you hold them all. And if you have a pair of Jacks with Kings or Queens, you hold just the Jacks. If you have Aces and Jacks, just hold the Aces unless both Jacks are black, then I don't care what you do.

The only non-obvious thing is should you hold a pair of Aces or 2-4s with a Black Jack? I doubt it since you don't do it in Triple Double Bonus, but I haven't done the math either. Since a Jack is also a high card, it's possible Ace + Black Jack is better than an Ace. Unfortunately, I'm not sure without trying to crunch out the math. I'm too drunk to do that now...oops Maybe later...

And of course, the above advice only applies to jurisdictions where you have confidence the game is played with a random poker deck where every card is equally likely.

Why don't you practice that game here before you risk money on a game you don't know.

Your sarcasm is duly noted Da. Was just attempting to be helpful. And then you wonder why people on here consider you the north side of a horse going south.
