Southern Indiana river boats
Any play at the southern Indiana river boats? I play fairly often(once a month) at The Grand Victoria in Rising Sun. Not too crowded/smoky during the week when I play. They recently put in (8) $.25 10/6/40 DDB 99.9% pretty good for the area. Also $1 NSUD at 99.7%. We were down on last Sunday of the Month so was kind of crowded. Caught one of the DDB machines open so wife and I trade off and held it for a few hours. Best win was 4A with a 3 for $500..Several other quads. Came away up $900.

Anyone ever been on a casino boat when the computers go down? happened this Monday at the Grand Victoria in Rising Sun,IN. We were down over night and hit the casino for one last round Monday morning. Seemed odd when we walked in to see so few machines being played and lost of people just roaming. And Quiet! With the computer down no slot cards were rated in the machines and all payout had to be hand payed! My wife made the comment that it seemed like a scene out of Dawn of the Dead. Lots of glassy eyed gamblers roaming aimlessly like zombies! As soon as the machine would take players card we sat down.Since they still had t o hand pay I put a small bill in a 3play ddb game just to kill time... Hit my first quad two hands in.. figured I just play it off as wait for a attendant..hit another in 3 hands...in 1 hour of play I had quads for every card in the deck except Aces! As soon as I could cash out I was gone!

Does anyone have information on the video poker at the new French Lick casino? Good or not.

Ohio Bob,
Thought I would hitch a ride on your thread if you didn't mind.
I'm in sw ohio (cincy-dayton) so southeastern Indiana riverboats are about the only option we have at the moment. Have thought about trying Rising Sun or Grand Victoria and was wondering if you, or anyone else, may have some comments or offer some advice.
I'm a newbie to the forum as well as VP. Just looking to have some fun and, hopefully, learn to become a winning player when I'm able to play.
Anyway, any feedback anyone has to offer would be welcome.
Thanks!

Aztar in Evasnville just took out their full play machines. The best I could find was a 8/5 Jacks or better. So I went and played blackjack. I was happy playing blackjack and will go upriver to Caesars of Indiana and play their full pay quarters machines.

I go to French Lick at least twice a month, I'd go more if I could. I now prefer the French Lick casino to the Aztar at Evansville. The new one at French Lick does not have a lot of poker video games, but you can usually find one to play. Most of the machines are multi game machines. I've not won a lot, but have not lost a lot either. Just there for fun.

We like the Grand Victoria at Rising Sun. We started at Argosy in Lawrenceburg but found that to be crowded and smokier than we liked. After 1 trip to Grand Vic we've never been back to Argosy. We also play at Belterra. Recently we made a 3 boat trip..Grand Vic, Belterra, all the way to Caesers in Elizabeth IN. The worst about Caesers is that hike from the hotel to the casino! The Grand Victoria has added a lot of new vp machines in the last year. Food at all are about the same a buffet and some other restaurants..Belterra has more of a Vegas feel with a larger off boat area. Remember to sign up for a players card and enjoy!
