According to the New London Day article May 14, the slots in the Rainmaker casino will close starting 6/9 Mon-Fri from 4-9 AM. Foxwoods has 6 casinos total. Some table games will close too. They are also planning more layoffs. There about 800 machines just in Rainmaker, but that leaves over 4,000 more open. I haven't been there in awhile, so I don't know how many vp machines are in there, but there will be no lack of vp machines in other areas. Shouldn't affect anyone with plans to go there this summer too much unless they decide to close other things. I haven't heard any more than the above. Foxwoods has no full pay or 99% machines that I know of unless they have added some in the last couple of months. Their paytables across the board on vp are lower in general than Mohegan, but I guess in the short run, anything can and does happen. Good luck to all. Ct is a great place to visit in the summer and fall. Forget the winter. Especially last winter.

Yes, as I originally stated, two casinos are closed, and Foxwoods in general is in deep trouble.Rainmaker portion is shuttered during the weekdays....but the other large casino withn Foxwoods, MGM Grand-Foxwoods, apparently is also shutdown for large periods of time.     Has anyone been to Foxwoods in the last two weeks????     In the Springfield Republican Newspaper (which is covering the ongoing debacle of massachusetts casino legislation) they recently made a big push to highlight all the negative sides of Casino Gambling in places like AC, Connecticut, Detroit and elsewhere.    They said the Foxwoods sitution is extremely fluid and changing by the day......the portions of the casino that are shuttered on any given day are constantly changing.I might be going to Foxwoods for just a day sometime in August (I live about 75-90 minutes from the place, depending on traffic and weather).       But I want someone who has just been there to chime in, since it is so fluctuant
