Has anyone here actually hit the SHOCKWAVE bonus feature when playing SHOCKWAVE POKER?I have never done this, but I have only played less than 2,000 hands of shockwave poker in my life......I have also NEVER SEEN anyone hit the shockwave bonus.HOWEVER.....I now routinely count off to ten every time I hit a quad to see if I can catch another quad in the next ten hands, thus "pretending" I am playing shockwave poker.AS of last week, only once in the last year have I caught a second Quad within 10 hands of another. Anyone else do this? Also, has anyone hit recently the A-C-E-$ in Aces bonus poker??? where if you get the sequenced 4 aces to spell ACE$ you win a ROYAL jackpot??? This is another white elephant will o wisp I have never hit.On the plus side, I can honestly say that 20 years ago I was putting my hashbrown on top of my Eggmcmuffin sandwich and then eating it.......nowadays, its all the rage and restaurants are plopping hashbrowns and fries on their sandwiches and burgers. I was a glutton ahead of his time.......and now some "marketing dude" in the corporate offices of McDeathburger is getting a fat bonus for doing this simple thing I was doing 20 years ago! Yo quiero taco bell

Hold the nachos on my Subway sandwich too...yuck!...Some genius came up with that one too. I once hit back to back quads and once a quad then a straight flush back to back. However, that represents millions of hands.

Yes - although I do not play it regularly. It has been a while since I played it.
Also, has anyone hit recently the A-C-E-$ in Aces bonus poker???
Never hit it, but I have played it occasionally in the absence of TDB.

I've hit it several times. Once while playing the $2 game I caught the quads back to back. Got paid, reset, and was then dealt a Royal in hearts when asked to play it off.
Had pics, but can't find them on new computer.
As for the A-C-E-$, it's never shown up for me.

I would have hit a Shockwave royal at McCarran of all places in July 2012. Only time I recall ever getting back to back quads. The within 10 hands likely occurred again last year too at the local casino. but not positive since I really don't track that stuff. I just have photos of two quads two minutes apart. And I typically play slow on that particular machine.
As for ACE$, I don't have a pic of one. But I did get reverse $ECA while playing deuces. Also ironically my biggest credit win on one hand would have been ACE$ if the cards themselves were actually Aces.
And it's not too surprising to never see either of these happen on the actual games themselves because who plays these games very much?

And it's not too surprising to never see either of these happen on the actual games themselves because who plays these games very much? this is a valid point, and I did take this into consideration before asking my question......but I must say given how bad the paytables generally are in AC, and how the statistical aberrations persist in terms of return %, I have on occasion just said "Forget it" and played games I hardly ever play, simply because it is the only mindset that doesnt yield 100% frustration and actually allows me to have fun and relax .... this is important when I want to play no limit texas holdem, which is now my focus instead of VP. typically I will play real live poker tournaments in the morning (they usually start at 11am), break for dinner and a little Video poker to just relax, then from 8pm until 1am I will play Texas Holdem Cash games (usually $2 - $5 blinds with max buyin for any table of $500)....then if I am still unable to sleep I will play VP for 1-2 hours before forcing myself to go to bed by 3am.I think next week I am going to find the LEAST horrible shockwave poker paytable and give it an earnest try, simply because I have never been there, never done that as far as hitting the bonus.edited to add: Playing texas holdem cash games is dicey in AC...you really need to stake out and watch the poker room of your choice for several hours before plunging into a cash game. You want to look for players who are obviously NOT sharks, while avoiding the sharks. Also, playing at night you are more likely to encounter drunk players and that obviously is a HUGE advantage so long as you are not also drinking.

Fwiw, I've only found one "full pay" Shockwave game (12/8/5) and that casino Loveman shut down (harrahs tunica). Most games are 10/7/5.

Montreal casino has Super Shockwave, was actually playing it today because of this thread. It was 10/7/5 and 2 pair was also only 1 credit not 2. BUT with Super Shockwave once you hit the quad you're given a choice of how many hands you want for your shockwave round. I was only playing 1 quarter because I already got my BR wrecked today. Table was something like:
20 Hands - 400 Credits for a quad
15 Hands - 800 Credits for a quad
10 Hands - 2000 Credits for a quad
3? Could have been 5? Already forgot Hands - 8000 Credits for a quad
I picked the 10 Hands and hit Trips a few times within the 10 hands but no dice. Its a pretty exciting variation that I should give more play on but that regular paytable is brutal to play on with 5 credits.

2000 credits when you bet one? Or five?
2000 for 5 is not good. The original game gave you 4000 for 5 over 10 hands.
