Yeah, different world now unfortunately. You know the phrase...lost in the 50's...that would be me and even the 60's too.
That is truly a pretty picture!   Also the same game I play at Harrahs AC, or did play until some 7star plays it a few hours and then shuts it down for the rest of the day!!!  This has been happening just about every weekend, really unfair when its the only 5Star pokermachine in the whole place!

Don't let it get you down tommiedee. Those CET 7-Stars people, you know, they probably are NOIR too, REALLY think they own the place.
Guilty as carded, Ted. But, I HATE capping machines. I RAIL against it with casinos everywhere that I find it. It is RUDE.

I once went all the way to Caesars LV President, Gary Selesner, on this issue, who had it fixed IMMEDIATELY. To this day, we are friends, since he said that he never hears about stuff like that, because his 'lieutenants' shield him from that feedback.

Tommilee, if you encounter that again, ask to see the casino's WRITTEN policy on machine capping, and then ask to see the log on that machine. If you run into resistance from supervisors, escalate.

I will be at Harrah's AC in October, and I will look for that machine, since I also like DoublePay. And if I find that machine capped, cover your ears.
I may get to meet Caesars AC President, also.

billyjoe you obviously knew that I was teasing you but directing the tip of the comment to those "killer elite" who do lock up a game for up to several hours at a time while others could rightfully be playing it.  You are telling tommiedee the correct way to handle it next time.

If you or I asked a slot attendant or a bartender to watch the machine while we quickly ran to the bathroom; we'd have to do something like cash the machine out first to keep OUR money from disappearing before we got back from the bathroom.   Good luck to you if you do get to play that 5 Star machine. Congrats on knowing where it was by the way. Why cant I simply ask the location of a machine in a casino without you making some backhand/underhand snipe, and also getting in yet another shot about my stolen tito? What do you get out of this Ted?  what does it do for you?It was a common, accepted practice back in the day for Vegas bartenders to watch machines for you while you went to the bathroom, just like dealers would watch your chips and your seat at the tables for you when you took a break.....end of story.

Did I hit a NERVE?   I can understand how a table games dealer would be able to better keep an eye on a player's chips while they excused themselves for a quick relief. I do however, stand by my original statement that a bartender (who has a much larger area to concern themselves with and its quite a bit more active) DOES NOT have the responsibility of watching a players game. ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ARE CREDITS STILL LEFT IN THE GAME. DaBurglar you screwed up there and yet you try to turn the blame on someone else.

Mohegan Sun allows shutdown for level 2 players and up. Personally, I just can't do that to someone. I think about myself in that situation. Especially if there are only 1 or 2 of a particular type of machine which is the case at Mohegan on many of the most popular ones. Once in awhile, I will ask the slot attendant to watch my machine for a quick like 5 minute break, but that is about it. Since much of my play is in the overnight hours, often times I will be on some of the most popular machines and into the morning. For a couple of the regulars who are nice people, I give them the appx time I will be leaving the machine if I know it ahead of time. This is greatly appreciated by them and they do the same for me as well. We all understand of course that gambling and time get run together sometimes and once in awhile it doesn't work since nothing is like clockwork to the minute in a casino. That is why there are no clocks there.

SOMEWHERE, wayyyyy back when this first came up in a topic and I shared my experience(s) with the forum, I clearly accepted that I was ultimately responsible for my own loss and obviously accepted it........however, as I reported back when, it was THE CASINO who (the following day) gang tackled the guy in the parking lot as he stalked me, and then called the Vegas Metro cops....so, clearly to them (the casino) the actual THIEF who took my money had at least SOME responsibility in this whole mess!    And while I freely admit that in TODAY'S day and age I would not make the same choice to leave my money in the care of that bartender but would in fact cash out, things back then were different. But that was back then ...... back when ..... and back where anyone with an interest in this topic, or thread, CARED.     This is NOW, and here you are still poking holes in deflated ballon JUST TO SEE if there are, indeed, any nerves at all to hit.....some people would call that mean, petty.....even a tad sadistic.   I just call it TYPICAL.....And you are, as usual, WRONG.....about a lot of things, mainly because you never address the same issue(s) i am addressing head on but skirt around until you find a tangential thread that suits you and your purpose(s) ..... It was (and still might be) COMMON Casino Etiquette that, if a player playing at a Video Poker Bar, wants to take a brief break, they can ask the bartender(s) to simply watch his machine and money until he returns.   If.....IF the bartender acknowledges the player and agrees to do it, then the player could have confidence the machine and money would be unmolested.    OF COURSE, It is not GUARANTEED nor is the casino Legally responsible, in such a case  but MOST casinos did (and still do) choose to support their customers in such situations......OR, if not, then they Clearly tell the customer in no uncertain terms, that the customer ALONE is responsible at all times and circumstances.....in fact, today, I think a few casinos even FORBID the leaving of chips and money unattended.   Times have (and continue) to change.it is no different, Ted, then when you freely hand over the keys to your car to a Valet to safely park and secure your vehicle.    Next time you do, go ahead and read all the signs and postings in the garage and surrounding area ...... and ESCPECIALLY read all the fine print that (hopefully) is legible on the front and back of your Valet ticket (or whatever other paperwork they hand to you!)

Do you get paid per word? What is ESCPECIALLY? I couldn't find it in Websters. When you ask a bartender to watch your machine do they hand you a valet ticket too?
