Golden Nugget is the only AC casino I am still relatively unfamiliar with....I think I need to change that.   I forgot Gus F.  owned it!    I like how the article says that it is a "2000 percent improvement" when Golden Nugget took over the marina from Trump.....I think anyone who knows the history of AC, Trump has, in the last 5 years, totally gone down the toilet and is a HUGE reason AC has lost so much market share.   That company has not re-invested a single dime since the crash of 2008, and instead has just milked its properties dry while applying band aids to falling brick facades.    They sell of the marina, allow the TAJ to completely fall apart, and now the plaza, IN THE BEST PART OF THE BOARDWALK, is going to be a empty abyss come September.No wonder Donald Trump is hated by 64% of Americans, even though the guy is no longer a part of the picture...it was his neglect that started all this.As for the seaplane service, I give it a big <shrug>!   Would have been nice in AC's glory days I think, but now.....??  mehHey Jimdeuces, thanks again for all these AC PRESS ARTICLEs...when I am in AC for my trips, the Press of Atlantic City is my newspaper of choice for my morning ritual of Coffee, Bagel and Paper.

  DaBurglar it has been at least twenty years since Donald Trump has had anything to do with his Atlantic City casinos. Blaming him for their current state of affairs would be akin to blaming Mrs. O'Leary for the current sad state that Chicago is in.

I think Donald Trump only owns 10% of the organization. If I remember correctly. He wanted his name off those buildings.  I used to play at the TAJ when Donald had it. Since the bond holders took over, It has been going down hill since. When we played there in those " GOOD OLE DAYS " ,we were comped for everything. I remember we were at the TAJ  45 weeks in one year. For shows, boxing matches, and the parties in the ballroom. There was something always going on. OH BOY, Did we have a GOOD TIME.  a big smile and  a lot of laughs.Your right DB 64 % of the people probably don't know the whole story.

The poll did not say that Donald Trump was hated by 64% of Americans. The nice thing about those days, akin to when Steve Wynn had The Mirage in Vegas, was that you had ONE GUY who could make a decision and make things happen. Being a golfer, I remember when Steve opened Shadow Creek in Vegas. He had to PERONALLY approve you going to play it. Why? Because, he wanted you to feel very special with that opportunity, instead of flooding the golf course with players to make a few more bucks.

Sure, both Trump and Wynn want to make money, but they are not afraid to invest some money in delivering a good product. When casinos have to appease bond and stock holders, I think it is more difficult.

Right idea - but wrong vehicle, IMO. I think that more folks would choose to ride in a high speed shuttle boat than a seaplane.

Here in FLA, we have a casino ship that stays offshore while patrons are shuttled back and forth via high speed water taxis.

 This would be used for the high rollers. Borgata has their own plane and I remember when we were at Taj. Occasionally we were awaken in the morning from Donald's helicopter .Of course they can bring me in on the owner's yacht. That would be nice

DaBurglar since you're back do you have any rebuttal to my post of July 20, 2014?Rebuttal?   of what????     All you did was say 64% UNFAVORABLE does NOT mean 64% HATE the guy.   I was using hyperbole to make a point.    It is also called semantics......the point of MY post was to talk about his casinos, not his absurd foray into politics!   And he WAS indeed involved with his three AC properties as late as 2005, not 20 years ago as you claim.   I am not saying he was sitting in the TAJ offices micromanaging the property, but he was involved with Strategy and Marketing.....along with his kids..... it was on one of his "APPRENTICE" episodes from 2005-2006....But in my view, UNFAVORABLE can mean hatred.....certainly your unfavorable attitude towards me has evolved into a petulant hatred which is palpable anytime you post after me.
