Funny you mention the 8/5 bonus 8/5 job thing. There are some short pay STP units nationwide set up just like that at the 6/5 level. And I have seen clueless people still play the JoB game over bonus.

Too bad they charge for booze in Ohio. 8/5 bonus at the bar is a great find in most areas.

If you make it back there I would like to know the stp and double stp games payouts at nickels and quarters.

Great timing. My wife and I were in Toledo for a little 2 day vacation and our plans were to visit the casino one last time and head home. I saw your post so I got the pay tables for the Super Times Pay and Double Super Times Pay and planned on posting the results after I got home. Both Super Times Pay and Double Times Pay are only available in .25; .50;and $1.00 denominations. Also, they are all either Triple Play, Five Play or Ten Play. As a recreational gambler who usually plays single coin so I can extend my time at the casino you can understand my reluctance to have to spend $1.50 each spin. I'm just there for fun and if I lose every cent I came in with that's okay as long as I'm entertained and have a few beers at the bar.

This is where it starts getting hairy. I think I must be blood brothers with may favorite poster in the chatroom, Biff, now known as HunterPence. The little 2 day getaway was supposed to be my birthday celebration, and for an almost laughable incident I ended up being handcuffed and placed in the back of a cruiser and taken to the nearest mental health clinic for evaluation. I'm fine, sitting in a hotel right now and since all I was allowed to take were the clothes on my back and my wallet I can't give you the paytable data I collected. As soon as I resolve this issue I'll get back to you.

As far as the 8/5 bonus 8/5 job thing, once I revisited my thinking, I can understand why it may happen. As a matter of fact I may have done the same thing on occasion. I hate playing deuces wild and I rarely do, but one can only play so many games of JorB and Bonus Poker before getting bored and trying something different. I never really bothered learning the paytables for the game because I didn't intend on playing it, and that's about the only other low volatily game available.

Booze or Beer is just about the only comp left for a low roller like me. Once the casinos started wising up to the perfect strategy players, they punished them by making them spend at least 1.5 times the money slot players for the same points. I haven't been to any of the Seneca casinos in New York for a while, but you used to be able to drink all night for free as long as you were playing video poker at the bar.

Well I hope you're okay! And it was just a in passing request. Doubtful I visit Toledo anytime soon.

And hear you on the $1.50 thing. They're multi line games but you only have to play one line to max bet a line. Use the touch screen to adjust it.

Every Triple Play Game I've been on the way I would try to get my bet would just hit the bet one credit and it would fill in each hand 1 at a time instead of filling in just one line. All-Star Poker machines at the Meadows operate the way you suggested, but if there's a way to play max bet on just one line on Triple Play Machines I don't have any idea how to do it.

Everything isn't resolved yet, but I've got my possessions back and sitting at home relaxing with a beer. I'll get the results of my research posted as soon as I get a chance.

Hmm...you sure those first two on Double STP aren't Bonus and Double Double Bonus (or BP Deluxe)? Would seem weird to adjust some of the games so badly for Double STP. Otherwise seems like standard Hollywood mediocrity.

Could be, but I'm home now and I won't be going back to Toledo anytime soon. I am, however, going to the Meadows today, and I'll let you know if I am able to operate the Triple Play machines the way you said.

By the way, everything is patched up and I'm happy to be back home. My doctor told me to write up the whole incident as just two depressive personalities having different viewpoints of what had occured.

I told him I couldn't agree more. After avoiding all attempts by my family to seek professional help I finally agreed to see a shrink last Thursday (4th) and I'll have to admit, I did feel a lot better after talking to him. He also recommended that I see a counselor and I figured that things had gone so well with him that I would take his advice. He set up an appointment for me the day before we were leaving for our little vacation and after talking to the counselor I told my wife, "I should have done this right from the beginning, maybe I could have avoided a lot of the issues I've been having since my recovery from chemotherapy.

The counselor asked me how I dealt with stress and I told him that I'm a pretty laid back guy and I would rather ignore things that I knew would cause problems with my family and avoid confrontation at all costs. He told me that I was like a pressure cooker and if I didn't learn how to relieve my stress by letting it out I was never going to be able to recover. Things had gone so well and I was feeling better than I have in months so I figured I would follow his advice.

To make a long story short, as I was cuffed in the back seat of a cruiser headed for all I knew to the nearest asylum I couldn't help but think "Wow, this is going well so far." What I thought would be a little discussion to clear the air had turned into the next episode of Cops.

When my daughter and I had a disagreement over recent events, instead of just ignoring her obviously erratic behavior, I was going to assert myself and told her "I am not going to let you intimidate me, we are resolving this issue tonight." You have to understand that I love my daughter dearly and she has been my most ardent supporter in my battle with cancer and the after effects of the chemotherapy but while now a hair stylist and manager of a salon, she was once a supervisor at one of those call centers that constantly bug people for money or subscriptions to magazines, etc. As you would expect, that type of company has a rapid turnover of employees so she learned very quickly how to deal with problems and she has a pretty agressive personality.

Anyway, after my attempts to assert my opinion escalated quickly to a level I couldn't believe I quickly tried to back off, but I had frightened her so badly that things quickly got out of hand. She had never seen this behavior from me before, and I have to admit, as I watched the events unfold, I thought "If anyone who knew me watched what was going on they would think I must be having a nervous breakdown or was possessed by an evil spirit." All my daughter could do was run away from me screaming, "You're scaring me, I want you out of my house and I'm going to call the cops." I couldn't even convince my wife to side with me and bear in mind, she knew all about my plan to follow my counselor's advice. I kept trying to tell my daughter that I couldn't agree with her more, I wanted to be as far away from her house as possible. My wife was in tears and I couldn't convince her to let me leave right now because she thought that my meds had pushed me completely over the edge and there was no way I was driving anywhere.

When I finally realized that there was no way I was going to be able to convince them otherwise I announced "Do what you have to do, I'm done with this. I'm having a beer and waiting for the cops to show up."

It wasn't long before they did, shortly after midnight with lights flashing and an ambulance to boot. I had calmed down by then and after the officer had talked to my wife and daughter to get their explanation of the nights events, he approached me for my side of the story. I was sitting calmly on the couch sipping my beer and after several minutes of conversation with the officer I told him, "You're the first person I could get to listen to me all night." He tried to resolve the issue by getting my daughter to agree to my wishes to leave immediately but she would have nothing to do with it. He finally stated, "Sir, it looks like nothing you can do will resolve this issue tonight so I suggest that you come with us to the mental health clinic for evaluation. You don't have to do this, it's strictly voluntary and you can refuse if you want." I said, "Well if there's no other option, I'll volunteer to go to the clinic. Would you mind if I take my beer with me?" He said he was sorry but he didn't think that was possible, so we headed out the door. Later that night, Scene 2 of the next episode of Cops would occur at the clinic, but that's another story.

After my oldest daughter had arranged an emergency meeting with my family doctor, and my wife accompanied me to the appointment he advised me that I would have to remember that men's and women's brains worked differently and had contributed to Friday night's events, so it would be in everybody's best interests to just drop the subject and get on with our lives. I remembered my last service on jury duty on a federal drug case that I thought was a slam dunk by the prosectution we should come to a verdict in about ten minutes. Much to my chagrin, the first poll of our jury was a 9-3 count in favor of guilty, with the three opposing votes all by women. After returning to work four days later I told my coworkers that if I am ever in serious trouble with the law, I'll ask my lawyer to get as many women on the jury as possible, there's no way I'll ever be convicted. I wanted to tell my doctor, "Yes, women's brains don't work" but my wife was sitting beside me and I had to bite my tongue.

Anyway, that's what happened this weekend and I'll finish updating my overview of the Hollywood Casino Toledo in my next post.

Yeah after all that, I wouldn't be running back to Toledo anytime soon either. Sucks that a misunderstanding escalated that badly, especially on a trip. My g/f and I had a spat on our recent Vegas trip, and I ended up playing live "mix game" poker for nine hours afterward because that game just happened to start at the next casino over while we tried to go to bed...whoops. I did send her a text where I was going, apologized later, and fortunately she took it better than she should have.

Speaking of this, I should post part 1 of this trip...lol

I was at the Meadows today and you are right, the machines operate exactly as you describe them. This has opened up a whole new family games that I can play!

I keep track of my progress while I'm playing in an old checkbook cover which is just the right size for your pocket. While I was doing this today I recorded the data I needed and grabbed the ticket and fed it into the machine to start my next game. A man playing several machines away from me was watching, and came over to me and said when he saw me do that he thought "Wow, this must be some kind of special high roller, I've never seen anyone just write his own check and place it in the machines when he needs more money."
