Good times pay

Post by DaBurglar »

On my most recent AC trip, I played the two machines that are in the TAJ....they only offer three line games, and the paytables suck, but it does not matter.    The games themselves are clearly set to never deal ANYTHING resembling a normal mix of winning hands.I am totally serious, I had multiple conversations with many people and we all agreed....the two machines in the TAJ are either rigged, or somehow programmed or set to deal "duds" (i.e. NON winning hands) on a absurdly high ratio.     The multipliers work just fine, lots of 5x or 6x and even a few 7x came up along with all the other smaller multipliers, but they kept "missing"  even when we hit little wins like three of a kind, etc......but it does not matter.   When you play this game, the cards dealt are just random garbage.   To put this theory to the test, myself and this couple visiting from Tennessee who were self-described "serious VP players", and who struck up a conversation with me about GOOD TIMES PAY when they saw me playing it, we decided to just play 1 line (instead of 3) and bet 1 credit, and just keep track of what we received for cards/hands.   And BOY OH BOY did this confirm what we already knew!   COnsider:I played 1,500 hands of 1 credit (25 cents) Bonus poker (7/5) at 1 line, and here is what I received:0 quads5 full houses21 straights18 flushesI did not record anything below a straight because it was too tedious and I was working off a loose leaf notebook that only had 3 sheets left....but clearly you can see something is really putrid in my results. My couple from Tennessee played DDB 8/5 at 1 line and 1 credit for ONLY 450 hands (they played far slower than me and they were drinking as well as blabbing with me about all kinds of topics, which is a good thing because they were actually having "FUN" during this otherwise frustrating experience)They hit QUAD 3s no kicker once, and hit almost as many full houses as me, with 4....they had 6 flushes and 10 straights. So there you have it, 2,000 hands and only 1 quad and 9 full houses  TOTAL between our two sessions.    While the number of straights was in line with 2000 hands, everything else was off on the "BIG" payouts.   Now keeping in mind that what lead me to do this little experiment was the fact that during REAL serious playing sessions I was getting killed and not getting anything, and you can see clearly something is rotten with this game at the TAJI had similar experiences with a couple other specific games I will write about in different threads, but lets confine this one to GOOD TIMES PAY only....and the multi line version at that.(I did formerly play the SINGLE line Good times Pay game available on the 5 star machines and while I did not win much, I did not feel as if the game was "off" or rigged;  I really believe the casino (taj) has done something to the two machines they have because they are afraid of the potentially large payouts......they already have LIMITED the game to only offering the 3 line version of the games available (no 5 or 10 line games) and they only allow 25 cent denom, so clearly they are afraid of something.)

We have had a similar experience with the Good Times Pay at a casino in Pennsylvania. It is also an 8/5 pay on TDB and a miserable 7/5 on DDB.

I will some times sit and play on this machine simply because it is in a row of other machines that I like to play that are always taken, so I sit and SLOW play and wait!

I watch many others play nickels for hours. It goes crazy on nickels, but as soon as you switch it to quarters, it's garbage hand after hand after hand. And when you do finally get a paying pair on the deal the multipliers are 1X, maybe 2X. NEVER seen a machine so HORRIBLE!!
