Best video poker casinos in NM/AZ?
I would like to find out which casinos in NM & AZ have the most video poker machines. And which have the most variety in them. Thank you!

I've always had good luck at Cliff Castle Casino in Middle Verde AZ. It's right off the interstate just north of the Cottonwood exit.

My wife and I took two summer vacations recently in New Mexico. On our vacations we love to ride around and check out the local casinos. New Mexico is a place where you can gamble in a gas station. The area we found with the most casinos was Albuquerque. There are at least 4 casinos there with lots of video poker machines. The nicest resort casino we found was Buffalo Thunder in Santa Fe. The video poker odds in New Mexico are some of the worst we have ever seen in our travels and we do this all over the country. The last time we were there, they had pulled the bad games and installed "ridiculously" bad machines. We enjoyed the scenery and the trip, but won't play there again. If I was a video poker player in New Mexico, I would play single coin as cheaply as I could find and save my money for a trip to Vegas.

We were just in NM, and we agree...in ABQ there are a TON of casinos...but the BEST video poker they offer is 8/5 DDB, ack!

Where in AZ and what VP do you prefer. You might want to see the posts on Fort McDowell under favorite casinos.

Everything I have read about New Mexico, that's sadly a better paytable than I expected. The only state with "Vegas-Style" poker that may be consistently worse is West Virginia, where most machines are 95% or less.

The best video poker odds we have seen outside of Nevada are in Colorado. Black Hawk is our favorite and we make at least one trip there every year. All the casinos in Colorado are smoke free!
