The timing seems more self-serving (votes) than helpful.

First off, thanks a lot for posting the link to this article!!Second, I just read the actual article, TWICE, and I still do not understand just what in the hell is going on here!!!!!Seriously, everyone else here take a look at it, read it, digest it, etc.......and then tell me whether or not there seems to be a HUGE contradiction going on here between what the Federal ruling(s) seem to say and what Christie is (NOW) trying to implement.I mean, when I read this article, I cannot tell whether or not Sports betting ACTUALLY IS NOW (or will soon be) available in New jersey Casinos....or whether this is just a first step to allowing it, but a crapload of things must till take place.....or what!?!?!?!!?!And one last thing.....I wonder what OTHER people think of Chris Christie's latest "Backtracking Flip Flop" of a move???       Personally, I think it is GREAT.....I think he should have been in favor of Sports Betting right from the start, and if he had supported it back in 2010-2011, and if he had pushed for it with the same GUSTO, and effort, and resources, and enthusiasm as he pushed to have the REVEL finished-opened-operating by early 2012, then things would be different in AC TODAY.....!So-called "Flip flopping" and "backtracking" is NOT always a bad or negative thing, especially on the part of Politicians or leaders at all levels:   It often shows a person is willing to change with the times and circumstances;  it shows open-mindedness, it shows flexibility, and most important, it shows a person is willing to admit (by changing positions) that his previous assessments were wrong and that he is willing to change his viewpoints.    Intransigence is NOT a virtue in a public leadership position.

Litigation will stop this train from pulling out of the station.

Unless New Jersey seceded from the Union, Federal Law will win out.

I think Christie read my post a while back and changed his mind. It will probably get canned. I think it has more to do with elections just like the Obama immigration statement made the other day. What scares me is what illegal executive actions will he take right after the election. Maybe in the interim, IGT will come up with a vp game that has a bonus round with a fictitious sports betting feature fully animated...the whole bit..could be a hit..no pun intended.

Maybe we should send off the proposal to IGT and get some " Royal"ties in return.

Mohegan Sun already has something similar although it is not hooked up to specific wins on your game. On certain days every so often anyone who has been playing with their card in for the last 20 minutes or so has a screen pop up. You have the option to play or not and even keep playing your game while you watch the free bonus contest. The two they have are Virtual Racing with famous Nascar drivers. There is a short race and if you have picked the winning driver, you get free play. The other one they have is Virtual horse racing. Similar theme. Pick a horse, watch the race, and if you win, place, or show, you get free play.
It should be a piece of cake to hook up a short football play to a vp machine based on certain events within that machine. You could get to pick the play type, player, team, pass or run, etc. etc. The options are many and could be piggybacked to go on to the next play depending on your success or failure with a big bonus for a touchdown. I remember an old penny slot game from years ago where you opened up the vault and went further and further into the bonus depending on how well you cracked the safe etc. Same idea. Works for me. I think the gals would like it too. Now that I have given the idea away, there goes my Royalties. Hmmmm....maybe not too late yet...
