Re: bovada

Yeah I really have not read the regulations they have set forth for their games (if they have any to read), so assuming a random, equally probable deck might be risky. [/QUOTE]
My understanding of the concept of having to tie an internet gaming site to a brick-and-mortar casino was that, then, they had to operate under the same gaming regulations as were in place in that casino.

You have a pretty good grasp on your understanding billyjoe. I guess this is why you need to be physically located within the borders of the state of New Jersey in order to wager online with one of their websites?

I didn't think bovada was tied into any land based casino at all. But I also mostly claim ignorance on this topic. I think the legal Nevada and new jersey online casino entities have to be attached to land based casinos, hence bovada is no longer accepting NJ customers.

BOVADA is not tied to any NJ casino.....and you can access from anywher ein USA....of course you may be breaking a law or two, but so was everyone who gambled during the POKER craze before Black Friday.I was under the mistaken assumption that since I was in NJ anyway, accessing Bovada was NOT a legal issue because I thought ALL internet gambling was legal in states that legalized internet gambling. Now I know the specifics....thanks.....I know I know....you guys are here to help too......

DaBurglar the New Jersey online gaming regulations are available online or they are also conveniently available in the office on Tennessee Avenue. There also was mention of them being available in another office, maybe Trenton?

Offered in the spirit of helpfulness of course.

My point, which seems to have been missed entirely, is that if Bovada's results are this bad on their practice games, I can only imagine how bad their real games are.

No argument there, Rascal, but I think the question is also - How do you get paid if you win, considering that site is illegal ?

All the poker sites before black friday sent payouts in a variety of formats.....transfer to your account, wire transfer, western union or cashiers check.Since Black friday, the sites still up and functioning like Bovada have limited the ways in which you can get paid.....currently Bovada only offers two ways:Check by courier  and a Bank Wire.......I have only opted for check by courier. What happens is Bovada sends you a check from a bank usually located in a place like Singapore, or somewhere in Canada like Ontario.   You then simply take the check to your bank and deposit it.....as long as you never mention  "Online gaming"  anywhere, the bank just deposits it into your account and voila!

Well, all I can say is - BE CAREFUL. Since Bovada is not tied to a casino in the US, it is not a legal gambling site in the US. Transferring money for illegal purposes is against the law. Not mentioning "Online Gambling" will not protect you.

when I played DDB poker for example, 9/6/5 paytable,  or Double Bonus with a 9/7/5 paytable, I continuously received so many dud hands that my final dud rate after playing about 3,200 hands was 70%!!!)
Statistically, for 10/7/5 double bonus poker, almost 57% of hands will deliver nothing, and an additional 31% will be pushes. Only 13% of hands will be winners. So, 70% duds isn't extraordinary.
