Chicagoland Visit

Post by BillyJoe »

Attention Tedlark, Galeygoo, Crappy and any other Chicago-area folks that I may have forgotten.

I am planning a trip up to Harrahs Joliet as a jumping-off point for visiting family before the snow starts falling (hopefully). I will arrive Nov 5th, and depart Nov 10th. During that time, I am sure that I will also head over to Horseshoe Hammond casino.

So, if a meet-up is in order, let me know, and we can work out a schedule.

I certainly hope the snow holds out til waaay after then, too.  Sounds like fun, Billy.  Count me in.  I'll bring plenty of ammo for you!

Meat, we're having meat. A Robert Duvall line from the movie :"Secondhand Lions." Also starred Michael Caine and some young kid named Haley Joel Osmond.

I will be at Harrahs Joliet most of Friday, and will be at Horseshoe Hammond sometime on Sunday this weekend.

Come one - come all..

Harrahs Joliet is my fav local casino (I live 50 miles away). Horseshoe (35 miles away) is too tight for me though Joliet is getting that way. Caesar's bankruptcyitis. Too bad I can't go but good luck billyjoe and all else who join you.

I met up with the world famous Billyjoe last night at Harrahs in Joliet, IL. He is actually quite a pleasant person who makes friends easily. We had a nice conversation while he was playing table game called "High Flush." After chatting for about 20 minutes I went over to play some video poker and about an hour later Billyjoe came over and sat down at the machine next to me.   I was up and down, playing maining 10 play .25 TDB, Double Deuces, and AC Joker Poker. I had several dealt trip aces and 2's/3's/4's but wasn't connecting on any. I did hit aces without a kicker with Billyjoe sitting there; I was hoping to impress him more than that.    I was really getting beat up and I was resigned to the fact that it was going to be a losing night, to the tune of about 2k. Being the jetsetter that Billyjoe is, he decided about 10:45 pm to head up to his hotel room and he called it a night. I was down to my last $300.00 and I decided to play it out.    A few minutes after Billyjoe left I finally caught aces with a kicker so that got me back a little better than half of my night's losses. I took a picture but because Harrahs doesn't like cameras I had to put it down too fast because a slot attendant was walking up so I only got a shot of the game keyboard. About 10 minutes after catching the AWAK I caught this:    I shot Billyjoe a text and this hit put me back and then some. I caught small aces again and left right about midnight up $1,300.00 instead of being down 2k.   I did see several other hand pays while I was walking around there. One guy in particular, he caught a royal on Ultimate X .25 denomination and he had a 2X multiplier up. Good for him.
