Craziness Continues...

Post by FloridaPhil »

Another day at the Hard Rock Tampa.  They moved the high limit slots out onto the main floor and I'm loving it!   Walked into the casino and went straight to my lucky machine (the one next to the stupid lady from last week's post).   Put in a $20 bill and was dealt this $1,000 hit on the third hand.    I hit a max coin quarter quad later in the day for $250 and went home up about $800.   I swear the high limit slots are rigged, but this isn't AC, so what's up with that?

That is awesome Phil, another $5 single coin hit! Could not have happened to a better person. This time you were dealt one, I think it is 1 in 52000 odds for a specific value 4OAK.

I know quad deuces happen 1 in 5000 or so, based on 3000 practice hands here on videopoker, com I've yet to hit one. I hit quad deuces a good amount of times in non-deuces game at a casino.

At the moment, I seem to be getting more than my share.  Probably because I only play Deuces and I play a lot of hands.  That doesn't explain why I keep hitting them on single coin high limit machines.  I'm starting to believe the story about the switch in the casino office!  I've posted $7,000 worth of them on my website in the past year.  Hope it continues....

Great Phil. Keep it going. I have hit 3 dealt deuces quads in the last month at Mohegan on the Double Down Stud machine. Good thing because everything else I was trying wasn't working....Again great job...

"As a recreational player, the only way you can beat the casino when playing a negative expectation video poker game is by hitting jackpots at a significantly higher denomination than the majority of your play."

You talked the talk AND walked the walk.

Nice hits Phil. As for the possible rigging going on; it'll be our little secret.

That's about the only way to get anything these days... having it dealt to you. Now the conspiracy theory here is that you get more premium hands on single coin to satisfy the regulations of all possible hands coming out even. They don't track if its max credit or one credit.

I'm not a conspiracy guy, but it sure seems like single coin play pays better.  On a $5 machine with a $20 stake, all I'm looking for is a good hand early to give me some play money.  It doesn't happen all the time, but most people would be surprised how long you can sometimes play $5 DW with only 4 coins in.  I do this a few times a day between quarter play.  This is my second $5 coin $1,000 hit in the last 30 days. Last month I took a $20 bill up to $600 before cashing out.  The trick is not to play $5 a coin all day.  If you do that the odds will kill you.
If you are a conspiracy guy, you could conclude that my system works because it goes against the way casinos think most players play.  In other words, "If the machines are pre-programmed, playing outside the box negates the programming".  Crazy....
