Hadn't played seriously at the Fort in some time. VP players weren't getting any respect for the amount of coin-in, and the games became unplayable for me.
However, today I learned first hand that they are getting serious again about VP and VP players. For starters they brought back 10/6 DDB and added 9/7 TDB. They did away with the auto hold on the quarter progressive which is still 8/5 DDB.
After chatting with the new Slot Director, I was told to expect even more positive changes to come in the near future for VP players.
We will see. I plan on spending some time there on the TDB in the near future.

What do you think has caused the new philosophy? Competition or their love for us VP loving players?

9/7 TDB ? Where the heck is Fort McDowell. Do I need a security clearance to get in?

Under old management, they decided to gut the free play, food comps and other perks, not just on VP but for slot players as well. Business dropped like a rock.
Some months back, I surrendered my card to the Slot Club Manager and told her why. There was another couple who played strictly slots who were turning in their cards at the same time, and voicing their displeasure as well. Their Win/Loss was over $750k in the first 6 months.
Yesterday, I received a phone call from the same Slot Club Manager, who told me the Tribe has made some big changes. Starting at the top.
New GM, New Marketing Director, New Slot Director (who knows VP) to name a few. Apparently at a Staff meeting she explained what had happened to the players, based on personal feedback from players like me. She was told to reinstated their previous status and to call and let them know to come take a look.
As I was doing a job on that side of town, I went over for lunch and a little play where I met the new Slot Director and played on the best paytables I've found in Az.
We plan on attacking those new machines after Thanksgiving.
For you nice folks who would like to thaw out and play some good VP and great golf follow this link.

We used to go to the Fort regularly for bingo but never were big fans of the VP. Because of convenience, comps and better VP, we have been going to Casino Arizona for bingo lately. Think we will try the Fort again.

Arizona allows for 100%+ payback games?
If so that is awesome, thought Nevada would be the only state to allow it.

Another tidbit I learned was that they are now allowing VP players to use their Crown Credits on Video Poker. For the longest time it was restricted to Slots only.

No. Arizona is capped at 100%. He should be referring to 40 (SF)/10/6 DDB (99.96%) unless Fort McDowell is running afoul of the law. And looking at vpfree, the only 10/6 DDB they ever listed there was 47.8 (5-K)/10/6 (99.71%)
However, there are some other states that allow 100%+.
My home state of Missouri still allows 100%+ games. I played 40/8/8/8 All American in Boonville back in 2004 (100.72%). But all those games were yanked in Missouri by 2009, leaving no 100%+ games left.
Nevada is the only state left that offers 100+% games in practice to my knowledge. Other states really don't need to.

Fort McDowell
DDB 10/6 100.7
TDB 9/7 0.995778
There are 4 Game Kings for $2/$5 that offer DDB with a 239 pay out on a SF. Was told that it would be changed as well.
Was told that changes were being made daily to upgrade the VP.
